I was recently gifted the CANVAS Pinecrest 1-Light Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture in Matte Black & Matte White through a Butterly campaign, and I couldn’t be happier with how it transformed my space.
Right out of the box, the quality is immediately noticeable — the matte finishes are smooth and high-end, not chalky or plastic-looking like some budget fixtures. The clean, minimalist design fits perfectly with my modern aesthetic, but I also think it would work beautifully in a transitional or even Scandinavian-style home.
Installation was a breeze. I’m no electrician, but with the included instructions and a bit of help, it was up and running in under 30 minutes. It’s ideal for lower ceilings or small spaces where you want something stylish but not bulky or obtrusive. I chose to install it in my hallway, but it would also be great in a laundry room, mudroom, or even a cozy reading nook.
What I especially love is the ambient lighting — it’s soft and diffused, giving off a cozy glow that’s perfect for mood-setting without being too dim. It’s also damp-rated, which means it’s safe for bathrooms or other humid areas. That versatility is a big plus.
I appreciate how CANVAS continues to deliver design-forward home pieces that don’t sacrifice functionality.
