You can blend the colors for shading so that you do get amazing effects. Some pens clump when you use them but I haven’t had this problem at all with these. The colors go on your art project with beautiful vibrant inks. I’ve had some pens that you can barely see the color but these are bright! They work great with adult coloring books and don’t bleed through. I did use them to color and really enjoyed using them. They have a plastic case for the pens included which is quite convenient.
