Initially, I was a little unsure about this one because I have dry skin that tends to break out and reacts to everything. I didn't think a drug-store powder foundation would be able to cut it for me. Buuut, one of my friends told me it was her secret to perfect-looking skin so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! This foundation is definitely comparable to Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals makeup and I would know because I've used that one too. Beautiful buildable coverage, looks natural, has SPF 19... Five stars all around :)

The brush isn't a hard plastic one like some mascaras have, it's actually made up of soft bristles that coat each lash with the mascara very nicely. I use the shade "Carbon Black" and it's great :) Never clumps, never flakes, lasts all day long (or until you remove it) Also, I wear contact lenses and haven't had even one issue because of them so Voluminous is definitely safe for lens wearers!
For less than ten dollars a pop, how could you say no? L'Oreal Voluminous is definitely worthy of "Holy Grail" status. Give it a try!

I got this lip balm for $6.99 at Shopper's Drug Mart in the shade/flavour "Pink Punch". The shade looks really tacky at first glance but it was more of a soft pink when applied on my lips.
I was really excited to try it out based on the Maybelline website's claims that it would provide my lips with "8 hour hydration" and "clinical care". This is my first time using a Maybelline lip product but I'm definitely not impressed!! The lip balm didn't do anything it said it would and in fact it did the exact opposite. I think it actually made my lips drier?! Within fifteen minutes of application I had to re-apply it because my lips felt so chapped. And then fifteen minutes after that I had to re-apply because the same thing happened... and then again... and again... Personally, I hate having to constantly re-apply my lip balm. Not really the 8 hours' hydration that Maybelline promised.
The only thing I liked about it was the taste- it's a unique, fruity flavour that I haven't had before in lip balms.
I gave it four stars for quality because I still think the packaging was really cute. Kinda childish and cheap but cute in its own way. One star for effectiveness. And that's only because it tasted good.

Definitely not impressed with this razor! I was expecting more because of all the positive reviews I read about it... but I guess everyone's different. What works for one gal might not work for someone else. That was the case with me, I bought the Venus Embrace because of all the great reviews I read. When I bought it I was pretty impressed because it's quite cute. Green and purple colour scheme and veryyy comfy handle! However that's about all that it has got goin' on. I shaved my legs with it and was disappointed that the shave I got really wasn't as close as the box claimed it would be. The packaging says that the five blades and whatever else will give you the closest possible shave but this wasn't true for me. I wouldn't recommend this to ladies with coarse hair. I guess it'll work if you have fine or thin hair but unfortunately that's not me :( I also found that it irritated my dry, sensitive skin a bit! Totally unexpected and a huge con. I prefer Venus' Spa Breeze razor. Way closer shave than the Embrace and it didn't turn my legs red either. -
