While I typically end up buying CoverGirl mascara on the regular, I can’t say that I would normally be drawn to this one because I’m blessed with naturally full lashes. I know, poor me. I decided to give it a whirl anyways, and was pleasantly surprised…at first. My first application was super smooth and the formula coated my lashes super easily. THEN, I found that the formula started clumping inside the tube after my second and third application and the consistency was getting really clumpy. This could be in part because the short bristles glob the formula on your lash line before the brush even hits your lashes. It’s supposed to help your lashes look thicker, but for me it ended up being a pain more than anything since it was so goopy. It’s a polymer based formula, mixing both waxes and clays. Not impressed with the formula. -

When you want a more intense hydration, Live Clean Sheer Light Dry Body Oil gets the job done. Word of warning though, it is quite greasy and the dry time can be around 15-20 minutes before absorbed completely. Try using before bedtime to leave skin feeling super lush. The light citrus scent isn’t too sweet or strong and it’s enriched with Vitamin E for moisture and Vitamin C to really get into your skin. Bonus Points: Helps reduce scars and stretch marks. -

It’s thick and rich enough to be super hydrating, but absorbs almost immediately (a huge plus when you’re in a hurry!) Not only does it help smooth marks, but it also tones your skin. Bonus Points: Contains Vitamin E and won’t break your budget. I just really didn't enjoy the smell :( -

If you’re always in a mad rush, Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer could be your go-to. After hoping out of the shower I quickly sprayed my whole body and then immediately get dressed. It’s not the most intense hydration, but I liked that there was no greasy after feel and the light aloe sent. Overall though, not exactly the most hydrating moisturizer ever. -

With the power to hydrate, replenish, smooth, protect and add a little shine, Softlips Luxe is available in two luscious flavours, Creamy Coconut and Silky Shea. Personally, I love anything Coconut! The blend of nourishing butters and coconut oil provide hydration, while antioxidant vitamin A, C & E help replenish your lips in this bitter cold weather. The formula is really lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy going on. Totally ideal to use as a conditioner before applying lipstick leaving your lips looking totally on point. -

Available in two shades, brown and black, this mascara promises (and delivers) maximum volume! My lashes are already super long, so I like to give them a little extra volume and skip using an eyelash curler. Applying at the root, I wiggled the brush upwards in many small strokes to build up density at the lash line.
It’s a traditional wire brush, which I find enjoyable and provides really intense colour. It’s a bit pricey, set at $18 but The Body Shop has a lot of sales so I feel like you can find this one at a decent discount. The only real problem that I had with this mascara was a bit of transfer from my lashes to my skin before the mascara has a chance to fully dry. The formula is quite wet, so it requires a little extra dry time. It’s worth it though, because the end result are beautiful, full doll-like lashes. Doesn’t clump if you follow the many small strokes application rule. It’s not water resistant, but I don’t tend to sway that way anyways because I always find them hard to remove.

I picked up Stellar, and normally I’m not a huge fan of lipgloss, but Apocalips has the rich colour of a lipstick, and a smooth creamy finish. The formula is a bit wet, but I found it to be really lightweight. The brush has a little pocket to collect the lacquer so you don’t need to continuously dip the brush back in the tube. The colour is so vibrant, I only needed to dip the brush once to achieve the pigmentation I wanted. The only thing off putting about this product was the smell. It’s got an almost chemical plastic smell, but it fades after a while. -

This stuff smells light and pleasant, not overpowering like a lot of dry shampoos tend to be. With a mix of white grapefruit and mint, it gives your hair an invigorating clean scent. The formula comes out clear, which is a big bonus for all your dark haired babes. But it’s more on the wet side, which is interesting considering it’s a dry shampoo. I found that this really worked in my favour since dry shampoo tends to be a bit powdery, and can make my scalp itchy. Of course one of my favourite parts is that it is a natural (naked, duh) product, and is free of parabens and dyes. The natural tapioca formula is the power behind the oil absorption, and gave my hair a fresh, ample bodied look. -
