The build quality is good and the clamps steel is very strong. I spend however 10 minutes to figure out how to open it. The easiest way to open it is to hold the tool downwards (like in the picture), pushing up the right handle with the right hand, while exercising downward pressure with the left hand. The tool is the original position, requires the user to pull down the right handle, which was very difficult to accomplish. The self adjusting mechanism is pretty standard. -

Overall, this product is a very good choice for parents seeking a gentle and effective moisturizer for their newborns and their babies. It is hypoallergenic, hlps to soothe and hydrate dry skin, and fragrance-free. We applied it at night before bed, to our baby's face (chins) and the next morning we see that his faced has healed from dryness.
However, individual experiences may vary, so it's always a good idea to patch test before full application.
