After moving, I decided to find a salon closer to me to get my colour redone. I found The Hair Company in the phonebook and called to inquire about their services and prices. A very nice woman, Theresa, answered all of my questions and was so well informed and nice. Turns out she's the owner of this little salon in the heart of downtown Newmarket. I decided to give them a try and I'm so glad that I did! Theresa is a whiz at colouring; she listened to what I wanted and went 10x above my expectations. The head massages are also killer. I love that the staff is so friendly here and they all assist each other to make clients feel #1. -

This is as close to an authentic Malaysian meal as you will get on this side of the pond. The food is delicious, service is friendly, and the recently expanded and renovated environment emotes a warm ambiance. Has definitely grown in popularity and you'll find the restaurant full almost every day and night. I highly recommend the roti, chicken rice, and teh tarik (malaysian style milk tea). To my knowledge, they do not accept reservations.

I love palettes and I'd been wanting to try the Dallas powder for a really long time...so imagine my delight when Benefit came out with a Dallas palette! The palette comes with the Dallas powder, two eye shadows, two lip creams/glosses and three brush heads. The colours are all complementary and are very natural on the skin, but you can definitely build on them for a more dramatic look. Gives you that Western glow...YEEHAW! I also find that there's a very nice, light scent when applied. -

I've been using this concealer for almost a year and love it so much that I've already bought another for when my current runs out! Benefit labels this as an "industrial strength concealer" and it definitely has the ability to cover up pretty much anything (including my under-eye circles and shadows, pigmentation spots). Has a light, creamy texture and goes on smooth. Lasts all day and doesn't crease! -

I use it year-round for some glow, especially in the winter months when I'm susceptible to being sickly pale! It makes your face radiant and I like to use it under my cheekbones to make them pop a bit :) -

My eye makeup tends to smear/smudge/run because I have small eyes and when I laugh I squint (I laugh a lot), but KissMe doesn't do any of this. I also love to use KissMe as a base and put on "diva" mascaras on top so it's easier to remove. By "diva" I mean the really thick, heavy mascaras that are impossible to get off! -

Actually, I haven't seen anyone who's wearing Lulu's whose butt doesn't look good :P Although they are a little pricey, a lot of big brands' prices are comparable...and if you're able to score a reversible pair (Groove)--well, that kind of gets you your money's worth!! Don't forget that Lulu was the first to introduce that extra material in the middle so the pants don't cut your body in half (camel toe!!). A little something extra is that Lululemon was started and is based in Vancouver, Canada. Support our local designers!! -
