Ever since I learned how as Westerns our diets are heavily depleted in beneficial omega-3s fatty acids, ive been incorporating supplements. As I get older I want to also enhance these benefits. One step towards this goal is understanding synergistic nutrients to omega-3s that I already take. Omega-3 fatty acid players EPA and DHA are fragile to oxidation and antioxidants are great synergistic partners by reducing oxidative stress. Omega-3 metabolites and antioxidants also share anti-inflammatory properties.
So when I read through the supplements options from @aorhealth the antioxidants caught my attention. Now I always pair an antioxidant with my omega-3s on the daily. AOR uses two antioxidants Vitamin C and acta-resveratrol.

I am constantly navigating the double whammy of aging and acne prone skin. This month, I gave @idcdermo new multi-action cream a try as a girly who just wants a hard-working product over a lengthy routine and something safe for the fragile under eye skin. The ingredient list is a good read and here are a few of my takeaways.
Overall, this cream was hydrating and soothing. I didn't notice a reduction in fine lines per se, but my skin seemed more plump, less red, and definitely softer by helping my textured and dry patches. I think with longer use, there can be more noticeable improvement in fine lines and skin discoloration. Here are a few ingredients that caught my eye and I hope keeps working hard for me:
For aging, we got retinol, co-enzyme Q10, several peptides, and amino acids like lysine that are involved in collagen production. We got some antioxidants like tocopherol, ginseng, and rosemary extracts. For acne and associated discoloration, we got anti-inflammatories like willow and licorice extracts, and brightening ingredients like ascorbic acid and rice extract.
Although there is alcohol that can be harsh and drying, I found hydrating ingredients like squalene, glycerin, and sodium hyaluronate compensated for it, making the cream overall hydrating. There are ingredients (eg. retinol, vit C) that I was more cautious about with intense sun exposure, but daily mild exposure should be fine considering there is titanium oxide for UV protection. Though the cream smells amazing, I could do without the added fragrances. My skin didn't break out during use, but I don't see the aromatic benefit. Nice thing is you can buy the fragance free version :) So far, I've been enjoying the cream and hope I keep getting some good benefits.

This cube will be even better in larger groups for family gatherings or friend playdates, where the red cube-boom/hot potato will be more exciting. Overall it's a super fun game for multiple ages and it deserve a spot in our game cabinet.

A couple of weeks back, I never thought the sunburn on my arms could form sweat bubbles under the peeling skin. Well, lesson learned 😆 So I've been religiously using @bluelizardsunscreen to never experience that again. I liked their sensitive skin sunscreen last year, and now they have a new improved sensitive skin mineral sunscreen of SPF 50 that won't irritate my skin. A nice little addition for me is the soothing aloe vera ☺️
I'll be sporting a nice farmer's tan this summer, but I won't be a peeling onion anymore.

It was an okay coffee. We usually drink sweet flavoured coffees in our house such as caramel or hazelnut. So I thought we would enjoy the maple flavour, but it wasn't quite to our liking. However, I can see that the maple flavour may be appealing to others and it does beat making your own flavored coffee. Not bad to grab on the go.

Moving away from mutli-vitamins (though convenient), I am educating myself in what specific nutrients I need through diet or supplements. I'm so happy to include these chewable vit b12 to my supplement routine. No swallowing big pills makes it a no brainer to take.

This is dangerously good! It's so unbelievably creamy. I stood there in front of the freezer for a hot minute, being indecisive about what flavour to try first. Peanut butter cup won, but I couldn't have gone wrong with the only chocolate, brownie, salted caramel and peanuts, or maple flavours. And don't get me started on the sorbet selections, I am in big trouble but happily so.
