Tried out the @kfi_sauces Butter Chicken Sauce tonight and somehow ended up cooking with my husband… and my girlfriend who showed up with very strong freeload vibes 😜
One person sautéed, one person stirred, and one person hovered waiting for it to be done. Can you guess who did what?
The sauce though? Genuinely SO good. Rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and somehow made us look like we knew what we were doing. Plus it’s Made in Canada with real ingredients like tomatoes, cream.
We added the sauce, let it simmer, and dinner was basically done.
Sauté, Simmer, Serve - easy enough that even the “emotional support chef” couldn’t mess it up.
Restaurant-quality meal in minutes, zero stress, maximum laughs.

The dual-temperature control made it super easy to work with delicate, older materials without damaging anything. It heated up quickly, the glue flowed smoothly, and it actually made the tiny detail work kind of fun. Plus, it comes with a silicone mat and heat-resistant finger protectors.
Honestly so helpful for tiny, fiddly projects like this.

Thanks to @canadiantire and @thisisbutterly I got to try out the NOMA Celeste Pre-Lit Christmas Trees, and honestly… these are stunning. I set the pair at the bottom of my front steps and they give off the coziest warm white glow. Soft, inviting, and instantly leveling up the whole entrance.
They’re weather-resistant too, so I don’t have to worry about them holding up in the cold or snow which… let’s be honest… is a must here.
Each tree is 4 ft tall, snow-dusted, and decorated with little berries & pinecones. They come in clean, modern pots and have 35 warm white LED lights built in, so once you set them up, they turn on automatically every evening. Zero cords. Zero hassle. Maximum holiday magic. Battery powered with a timer option too!
If you’re wanting to elevate your porch, entryway, or any outdoor space this season, these are such an easy win. I totally get why they’re a Canadian Tire favourite. I'm actually obsessed with them.

It even comes with a spray-top attachment, which is honestly dangerous because now I want to mist truffle oil on everything I eat.
We put together the prettiest little charcuterie moment, multigrain baguette, cheese, meats, grapes, the whole vibe!
Lightly sprayed the baguette slices with the truffle oil. And honestly?
It transformed the entire board. One spritz and it went from “cute snack situation” to “okay, who hired a private chef?” Silky texture, bold flavour, but not overpowering, just chef’s kiss levels of delicious. Like. Fucking good guys.
If you want to make the simplest moments feel fancy without actually trying… this is your moment.

BUT THEN… the plot twist:
I put it in a Caesar and suddenly the universe clicked into place.
Like WHY does this taste like it was destined to be in a Caesar??
Went from “why would you do this to me” to “wait… this kinda slaps.”
I made friends and family try it and we all did that slow, confused blink.
You know, the one you make when someone asks how your ex is doing. 👀😂

I really wanted to love these, and while they weren’t totally for me, I do love what they stand for.
They’re made with real, plant-based ingredients, no artificial sweeteners, and packed with prebiotics to support digestion and gut health
All big wins in my books!
Taste-wise, the low sugar one was flat on flavor, and the spicy one had a strong bite I couldn’t get into. The Smooth flavour was definitely the best of the three — refreshing, light, and more balanced — but still not something I’d reach for again.
I genuinely respect the clean ingredients, the mission behind the brand, and that it’s Canadian-made. It just didn’t hit my personal taste preferences.
