My husband and I decided to go to the new Crazy Horse Stonegrill Steakhouse and Saloon in the Kanata Centrum mall. We were looking forward to the experience, because when we walked through the restaurant (to get to the outdoor patio), it seemed like a great place.
After being seated (with menus), my husband and I proceeded to wait for 15 minutes, without having anyone ask if we'd like a drink or anything. We were just about to get up and leave, when one of the servers asked if we had been served yet, to which we replied no. He said that we weren't his table, but that he'd serve us anyway (he was very pleasant). He took our orders, and surprisingly, the wait for our food was quicker than our initial wait to simply be met by our actual server.
The food was ok. There was nothing bad about it, but for the price, it did not compare with other steakhouses. There was definitely nothing to complain about the food - the quantity was good, my steak was cooked as I like it, but the flavour just wasn't there. In our opinion, it was just "meh".
As we were sitting there, we noticed a couple tables that had been waiting for a while as well, and who ended up leaving. I could understand a huge wait if it was a packed house, but it was not. We got there around 8:00pm, and not even half of the restaurant was full. So, if you're starving or in a hurry, this is not the place to go.
Maybe with time the staff will work out some of the kinks. I could see good potential for this place, but it's not there yet.

Living Colour is an amazing place to get your tattoos done. I have had two tattoos done here and I have had other friends come here for their tattoos as well.
The staff is great to work with. You can come in with a picture in your hand and they can replicate it perfectly, you can pick a picture from their personal albums, or the staff will have a consultation with you and design an image just for you.
The studio is remarkably clean and every little tool is sterlized, so there is no fear of uncleanliness here. The staff are gentle but efficient in doing the tattoos. I have never seen any flawed tattoos come out of this studio! The price is an hourly price, so how much you pay will be determined by the size and detail of the tattoo you'd like.

She is a wonderful person to work with and open to any suggestions you have while also providing great feedback. She is very professional.
The price of her services is great, considering you get an engagement shoot, 7 hours of wedding day coverage by two photographers, all of the proofs and copyrights on a high-res cd, and an album of 200 4x6 photos. Her work is great, her attitude is great, her price is great. Enough said.

My fiancé and I go to Fil's Diner for breakfast nearly every weekend. They don't have a big menu - it is just the standard eggs/meat/homefries/toast meals, and pancakes, waffles, etc. But anytime we've gone to our usual location (Stittsville Ontario), our meals have always been right, they have always been cooked perfectly, and the service is great. The servers are very friendly and quick.
The beauty is that there is a Daniel O'Connell's on the other side, and both restaurants share the same kitchen. So if the Fil's side of the restaurant is quite busy or loud, we sit over on the O'Connell's side.
The restaurant is always clean, and very bright. It is designed like a traditional diner. And the milkshakes are wonderful!
The price for the meals is comparable to other breakfast places. $4.99 for the breakfast special. I recommend breakfast here to anyone!

I learned about The Wedding Jewellers Co. when I attended a local wedding show in the fall of 2008. The shop is located in Kanata, Ontario. The woman I spoke with, Sophie, is also the woman who takes care of all the clients who come into the shop. The selection of jewellery is great, from wedding bands and engagement rings to necklaces and earrings.
My fiancé ended up buying his Tungsten wedding band from Sophie because it was the exact style he was looking it, and it only cost $150! They have a variety of low and high priced items, and truly have something to fit everyone's taste and budget.
Sophie is incredibly helpful and great to work with. The shop is very nice, and the beauty is that it's not in the middle of a mall, but rather, off the beaten track a bit. Also, The Wedding Jewellers Co. offers bridal party gifts, wedding favours, and other wedding items you may need for your big day. I highly recommend this store for anyone looking to get some jewellery.

3Sixty Dance Studio recently opened in Ottawa, and offers pole-dancing fitness classes to women of all ages, shapes and sizes. They offered free classes so people could decide if this was something they wanted to register for. I was hooked immediately and I absolutely love my dance classes! They truly are fit for women of any size and you can actually do the tricks that other pole-dancers do! The class really makes you feel sexy as you perform the moves you've been taught, and the environment is so casual that you spend more time laughing than worrying about looking silly in front of everyone.
This is definitely something to consider if you want to get a good work out doing something different. I would say it is a moderate-level workout, but it really helps build up on muscles you probably didn't even know you had!
The facility is small, but the studio limits the class sizes to 10 participants so that everyone has room to perform the tricks. The instructors are amazing women who will show you the move a hundred times if that's what you need to get it right. This class is enough to make any woman feel sexy and talented!
