For years my Rubik’s cube 3 x 3 sat unsolved in a box somewhere, with stickers peeling off and dust collecting. So when I had a chance to review the new Rubik’s Cube 3x3 for free from Family Rated and Spin Master, I jumped at the chance! The refresh is great. Same game, but better. The colours are made of plastic and can’t peel off (cheaters beware!), and the cube moves freely which is perfect for quick moves and tricks.
2 years ago my then 11 year old step son had a teacher who loved to show his class tricks with the Rubik’s Cube (the teacher and his brother were some sort of Rubik’s Cube competitors). My step son went on for weeks about how much fun it was and watched all sorts of videos until he could solve the puzzle. We bought one for him to use at his moms, but it ended up lost and forgotten in a move. Well he was so excited to play again. Now that he’s a teen, he really wants to learn some tricks to show his friends. Best puzzle ever!!
The value for the Rubik’s Cube 3x3 puzzle is excellent. It provides hours of fun, helps with finger dexterity, and challenges the mind! I highly recommend this toy for anyone, any age. It would make a great gift and provide hours of enjoyment.

I got the Orbeez Soothing Foot Spa for free to try from Family Rated. It was packaged well with only recyclable material. The foot spa itself is very sturdy, and the attachments seem like they would last for a good amount of time too. The foot spa comes with 2000 Orbeez seeds, which expand with water after about 4 hours. I followed the instructions and set up the foot spa for my daughter, and turned it on. She loved the feeling of the Orbeez on her feet, especially when they were falling from the chute. She said she loved the Orbeez and that she felt really nice and relaxed, and gave it 5 stars! She let me try it, and it feels amazing. The Orbeez are firmer than I thought they would be, so they felt great on my feet. I enjoyed the cascading flow, and just moving my feet around in the Orbeez. After just a few minutes I noticed that my feet felt better, and also softer.
Clean up was pretty simple. We put the Orbeez away in a container as directed, rinsed the foot spa, and set it to dry. A few of the Orbeez broke into pieces, and some of those ended up on a towel we put under the spa. They shook right off of the towel into the garbage and we were done. My daughter can’t wait to have another spa day! I would recommend this product to parents who want to pamper their children.

I tried my free sample of Kraft Hazelnut Spread from ChickAdvisor and I was blown away at the taste! We have been using the warehouse brand for years because it didn’t contain palm oil, and we loved the flavour. I compared it with the Kraft Hazelnut Spread, and I was blown away by the amount of hazelnut flavour there was in the Kraft brand. It was very creamy and smooth with a delicious chocolate and roasted hazelnut flavour. I definitely recommend this spread, and am going to try the chunky version too! -

I got ReaLemon garlic flavour infusions to try for free, through the Product Review Club for ChickAdvisor and Family Rated.
ReaLemon garlic flavour infusions is perfect for recipes with pasta, chicken or fish (and I’m sure many other things too!). We are a pretty fussy family and it’s great! It adds just the right amount of garlic to the lemon juice. ReaLemon has always been a great brand, and this flavour infusion is another hit! The flavour is a perfect balance of both garlic and lemon. Neither flavour overpowers the other, but it’s subtle when mixed with other foods. I first tried it on battered haddock and it was delicious!
The value of this juice is very good! You get a lot for just a couple of dollars. It’s well worth it because a little goes a long way.
I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

I got a coupon for Becel Unsalted Plant-Based Bricks to try for free as part of the Product Review Club for FamilyRated!
When I first received my coupon, I looked for it at my local grocery store and they did not have the product, and had never heard of it. Due to the pandemic, I waited until I had to go out again to try and get it, and I was successful! There were only 3 bricks of unsalted left, which tells me that it is a popular item!
I have never liked salty food, and rarely add extra salt to any foods I eat or prepare. I tried a teensy bit of the Becel plant-based brick on its own and because it is unsalted, even I found it quite bland. However, what I was really interested in was how the Becel would do in replacing butter in my baking!
I decided to bake chocolate chip cookies on a whim, as I usually do, so I didn’t have time to take my Becel out beforehand. It didn’t matter one bit! I was able to cut the brick in half using the measurements on the packaging. CreamIng the Becel plant-based margarine with my white and brown sugars happened quickly and easily, then I added the rest of my wet, then dry, ingredients. The dough was perfect (which I’ve struggled with using butter!), and I scooped it out onto my cookie pan. 10 minutes later I had the most delicious cookies! They were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, just like cookies I’ve made with butter! I always struggle making cookies with butter, but these took me all of 20 minutes, start to finish!
Having the unsalted margarine was perfect, as I try to prepare things without sodium for my fiancée who has heart disease. Butter is really bad for him, so I am very pleased that Becel Plant-Based Bricks can replace butter, and it’s so much healthier for him. It’s also better for the environment, as there are no animal by-products used to make the bricks.
The price point for the Becel bricks is comparable or less, to name brand butter.
I highly recommend Becel Unsalted Plant-Based Bricks! These bricks also come in salted, if that is your preference.
Not only will I buy Becel Unsalted Plant-Based Bricks again, but I will be replacing butter with them!

We got to try Mott’s Fruitsations +Fibre unsweetened mango peach applesauce for free for Family Rated and we were not disappointed!
This applesauce is the perfect addition to my children’s breakfast because it adds some much needed fruit to their diet. My son doesn’t always want to eat breakfast, so he will have an applesauce or a snack most days. With the added fibre in Mott’s Fruitsations, I am happy for him to have this snack! As for my daughter, she loves fruit, but is fussy about her applesauce (usually preferring plain apple), but she loves the taste of the mango peach!
As for the adults in our household, we both thought the applesauce was full of flavour and that it was delicious! I am not usually a fan of mango, but mixed with the peach, the flavour it fantastic. I found the applesauce texture to be nice and thick, but not chunky. It’s also sweet without being sweetened.
I feel good about giving this to my kids with breakfast or lunch, and it’s a great snack for me too. The price is excellent and it’s nutritious. I would definitely recommend this to friends (and have!). Bottom line: good value, nutritious, and tastes great!

I got to try the Caramel flavoured Premier Protein Shake for free from ChickAdvisor for the Product Review Club. I prepared the shake 3 different ways, as there are a ton of amazing recipes on Premier Protein’s website.
I first tried the shake poured right out of the carton. It was good tasting, but had a slightly chalky taste to it. It wasn’t terrible, and definitely wouldn’t keep me from using the shakes in the future. The shake was nice and thick and had a creamy consistency to it as well. It is super convenient, as it can be drunk right from the carton; and while it is best to drink it cold, it doesn’t need to be refrigerated.
I next prepared the caramel shake with coffee, sea salt and ice, based on Premier Protein’s ‘Salted Caramel Mocha Shake’. I did not have any cocoa powder on hand, and didn’t want to get out the blender, I wanted something that would take seconds to prepare, and could be made as I was running out the door for the day! The addition of the coffee and sea salt made this a delicious and creamy cold coffee drink that was low in calories and sugar, but big on taste!
I lastly prepared the Premier Protein Caramel Shake with hot coffee and sea salt. I usually enjoy a hot chocolate or other hot drink in the evening, and this did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the shake as a hot beverage to relax with.
I would definitely buy the caramel flavoured shake again to mix into coffee. It is less sugar than caramel mixes or syrups and I am getting protein to keep me from snacking. I would also recommend this to a friend.
Bottom line: it’s delicious, creamy, has a ton of protein, is low in sugar, and is a great price!

I received this product to try for free as part of the Product Review Club with Chick Advisor. I have to say when I first opened the package I was a bit disappointed to have received a body lotion, since I have a lot of them and don't seem to use them as often as I should! I was also disappointed that I received the "soothe & serene" type, which is lavender (and argan oil) scented. I am not a big fan of lavender.
To say that I was COMPLETELY wrong is an understatement. I decided to use the lotion right away on my hands because they are so dry from frequent hand washing. I used one squirt and it was so thick and rich that I was able to use it on my arms and elbows too! I am now in love with this lotion and have been using it every couple of days for about 2 weeks. It keeps my skin soft, but has also soothed my hands since they were so chapped. As for the scent: I love that too! The lavender is a subtle part of the overall scent, which is strong, but in a really good way. Whenever I use it, I keep smelling my hands because they smell so good!
I absolutely love that the ingredients in these products are sourced in a way that helps the communities where they are found. It is made with planet sustainability and the consumer in mind. Oh and the packaging is not just recycled, it's super cute too!
I highly recommend this lotion, and I can not wait to try some other products in this line. The price is amazing for the quality, and a little goes a long way!

I received a loaf of Villaggio Classico thick sliced Italian style bread for free to try as part of the Family Rated Club for Canada Bread. This bread is delicious! It is definitely the white bread I will buy from now on! The flavour has a tiny hint of sweetness, which I really enjoyed while eating it with peanut butter. The slices are nice and thick, which keeps your sandwich together and prevents the bread from getting soggy from lettuce or mayonnaise. The kids, my boyfriend and I tried it with Nutella, turkey, ham, peanut butter and jam, and it was the perfect bread for all of these sandwiches. Villaggio Classico thick sliced Italian style bread Is also great toasted! It has a bit of density, but is still light and fluffy! I highly recommend this bread as a staple in every household. The price is fantastic, (it’s often on sale too!), it’s nutritious and delicious. -

I received Annie’s Homegrown Shells and White Cheedar Mac and Cheese for free to try as part of the review clubs on FamilyRated and ChickAdvisor. I had already tried the regular cheddar and was plaeasantly surprised by how much my family and I enjoyed it. I cooked the shells just for myself, and followed the directions according to the box. I really enjoyed the taste, but found that some of the shells were stuck together and still quite hard. The shells were good other than those several that were undercooked and the flavour was good. I like the fact that Annie’s is a healthier alternative of boxed Mac and Cheese. If you enjoy shells, I recommend Annie’s Homegrown Shells and White Cheedar Mac and Cheese. I however, prefer the regular pasta noodles and flavour of Annie’s Homegrown Cheddar Mac and Cheese. May buy again, if I want shells! I forgot to take photos of the cooked pasta in my order excitment to try it, but it looked amazing! -
