The secret to glowing and hydrated skin? Hada Labo Tokyo of course!

All of their products are manufactured using the original, trademarked Japanese formulas, and contain the No. 1 Japanese Secret to beautifully glowing, hydrated skin - Super Hylauronic Acid! The thin, quickly absorbed formulations are part of what Hada Labo Tokyo is known for. These special formulations also allow these products to be applied under and on top of makeup! Hada Labo’s lotions are what promote hydration and help the moisture from your moisturizer penetrate and take effect. Did you know, that the MOCHI-MOCHI effect is the Japanese name for the slight tackiness that makes your hand feel like it’s sticking slightly to your face while applying the product? Japanese women love this feeling and it assures them that their products will leave their skin soft and moisturized.
There are four different types of hyaluronic acid – large, medium, super, and nano. Large Hyaluronic Acid (MACRO +) is the largest sized molecule which acts on the skin’s surface to hold in moisture and prevent evaporation, giving long lasting hydration. Medium Hyaluronic Acid is the medium sized molecule which can hold 1000 times its weight in water, which is retained in the top layer of the skin. Super Hylauronic AcidTM (HA+) retains two times more water than standard hyaluronic acid, providing multilayered hydration, as well as antiaging benefits to fight fine lines. Nano Hylauronic Acid (MICRO HA) is the smallest nano molecule which penetrates deeper and plumps the skin from within. Hada Labo TokyoTM products are made up of a one-of-a-kindblend of 3 of these different hyaluronic acids, which are designed to quench thirsty, dehydrated skin. The special combination of Super, Micro, and Macro HAs hydrate and plump your skin from the inside out, locking in moisture for many hours.
The first step of this Japanese moisturizing skin care ritual is Hada Labo’s creamy Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. I love this foaming face wash and you only need a pea sized amount to gently remove dirt, makeup, and impurities, leaving your skin feeling clean. This fragrance-free cleanser is suitable for all skin types and is safe for sensitive skin. It is gentle enough to use twice daily. The Gentle Hydrating Cleanser contains Super Hylauronic Acid which deeply moisturizes and defeats dry skin. We were sitting on a patio, and I had three different women compliment the gourmand smell of sweet almonds, and ask me what product I was wearing.

I surprised my dad with an early Father’s Day present, a @spiritswithsmoke Cocktail Smoking Kit with their Signature Five Aromatic Woods. Our family had a lot of fun making the Pineapple Jalapeno Margaritas from the Recipe and Instruction Booklet provided, which features 6 other smoked cocktail recipes as well . The kit came in a beautiful laser engraved wooden box. The box contains Cherry, Hickory, Maple, Oak, and Walnut Smoking Bricks, along with a variety of cocktail making tools, to craft the most amazing smoked cocktails at home. This Spirits with Smoke Cocktail Smoking Kit includes organic boutique Quebec Maple Syrup, hand-crafted aromatic bitters by Token in ‘Ritchie Cherry’ and ‘Aromatic Orange,’ 2 sphere ice molds, a hand-turned wooden muddler, a copper teardrop bar spoon, 3 dehydrated orange rounds, and 3 restaurant quality coasters.
For the Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita, we used the @spiritswithsmoke Recipe and Instruction Booklet to concoct the Pineapple Jalapeno Syrup first. We combined 1 cup of pineapple juice, 1 cup of packed white sugar, 1 cup of water, 2 tbsp of packed brown sugar, 2 jalapenos sliced and seeded, and 2 cinnamon sticks, in a medium saucepan. We turned the heat to medium-high until simmering, then reducing the heat, simmering for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once slightly thickened, we removed the liquid from the heat, let it cool, then strained it into an airtight container. When refrigerated, the syrup can last up to two weeks.
Time to make our cocktail! We smoked our glasses using the Oak Smoking Brick, for a medium vanilla, nutty smoke. We combined 1.5 oz of tequila, 1.5 oz of Cointreau, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, and 1 oz of our freshly crafted Pineapple Jalapeno Syrup, into a boston shaker, per cocktail. We added ice to the shaker and shook it until the shaker was frosted. We salted the rims of our Oak smoked glasses, and then strained our cocktails into them. We added a sphere icecube in each glass, and garnished each glass with a dehydrated orange round and some lime wedges.
Ta Da! It was delicious to say the least, and we can’t wait to try out the other smoked cocktail recipes included. We are looking forward to making Smoked Old Fashions on Father’s Day Weekend with my dad!
