L’Occitane makes beautiful products (my mom has been using the hand cream for as long as I can remember), and this luxurious body oil is no exception. Sweet almond oil moisturizes my skin while a subtle shimmer accentuates the parts I want to show off. The scent is somewhere between floral and gourmand, rich with almond blossom and maybe a hint of honey.

This perfume has a clean scent, which makes sense given the brand name! While the brand refers to the clean ingredients and water-based formula, the fragrance itself is a bright, clean one. It’s not my favorite scent family, as I prefer deeper, more complex scents, but if you want to smell like you just got out of a refreshing shower, this is for you!

This warmer works really well to melt the wax and keep it at a consistent temperature. The silicone lining sleeve makes it easy to clean — just pop out the wax once it has hardened. I’m still working on finding the right temperature to make the wax most effective for hair removal, but the warmer is super easy to use. Gifted by Parissa. -

I love the kind of piney scent of these wax pods! They melt well and are fairly easy to work with. I’m still getting used to finding the right texture/consistency. I don’t want to burn myself, but if I use the wax when it’s not hot enough, it stays crumbly and does not come off neatly or grip the hair well. When it’s the right temperature, it removes the hair nicely. I just need to practice more! Gifted by Parissa. -

I’m almost ashamed to admit that I had never tried double cleansing until I received a complimentary sample of Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil. I have dry skin and I worried that cleansing twice would make it drier. Instead, using this cleansing oil followed by my usual foaming cleanser has left my skin cleaner and more hydrated. The oil is surprisingly light in color — almost clear. It has barely any scent aside from a slight botanical freshness. It emulsifies with water to create a slight milkiness. It does leave my face and hands feeling a little bit oily, but following up with my foam cleanser takes care of that sensation without sacrificing the hydrating benefits. I can even feel the foam gliding on more smoothly after applying the cleansing oil, too! -

I hate how much I love Nespresso. It’s less expensive than going out and buying a latte, but compared to the cost of brewing in a traditional machine, it’s a bit steep. That said, it’s espresso, not a “cup of joe”. My machine includes a milk frother, and I feel so fancy making myself an espresso drink with beautiful crema and steamed milk in the morning. It’s a little indulgence that makes my day. -
