Shampoo and conditioner are a large part of everyday (or every shower) care for your hair. I would love to make this review about how much it has changed my life, however, it didn't even truly live up to my expectations. Instead it fell below. I gave this shampoo and the conditioner both 2 stars because the bottle is nearly 100% recycled. The products did not give me less frizz control or hydrate my hair for 72 hours. If anything, it made me lose more hair than my typical products. No bald spots mind you but it's not my favourite feature to loose an unfathomable amount of hair after every wash. If Garnier Fructis products want to fully impress me. Don't make promises they can't keep for all hair types, and make the products also biodegradable with a 100% recycled and recyclable container. -

We were lucky enough to be selected to try out a new toy from spin master. The paw patrol Rubble aqua pups toy and action figure. My kids ages 2, 4, & 7 have lived paw patrol for quite some time and were super eager for the new packaged toy to arrive. While waiting for it, my 7 year old surfed the computer looking for what we were getting in the mail. It was not exactly what he was expecting but was super excited either way. My 4 year old, the big pup fan, didn't care as long as he could play with it. Out of the box it came with easy plastic ties to pop it out and off they went. However it didn't last long until there was a first complication. Not arguing or bickering over turns either. The fin on the top of the "shark" was stuck leaving the window compartment hard to close and open. The other fins, which are moving parts, also wouldn't open or close properly. It took mom some maneuvering of the top tail and we were clicked back in place. The kids played some more and then told me their reviews. Both agreed that the tail with the drill was cool but wished it moved, the fins getting stuck (happened a few more times) was annoying, and that it wasn't water proof like the name Aqua Pups suggests. The kids still play with it from time to time, but much like a lot of their plastic toys with malfunctioning pieces, it sits in the sea of other toys waiting for another chance to be picked up. We were able to catch some elf action with it recently which proved some good fun. Otherwise, it's a 3 stars from us. Kids liked it, would play with it on a store shelf if they saw it, but overall, it likely wouldn't be a toy that would make the trip home from a store. -

The Colgate sensitive pro relief toothpaste is made my a reputable brand and recommended by professionals. The tube itself is standard and easy to use with a special cap on the end to be opened before use to retain freshness. I have been using the sensitive pro relief, repair and prevent hoping for some continued care for the past two weeks. It works well enough to prevent my sensitivity from becoming an issue but I wasn’t to big on the texture or taste. My husband on the other hand said he preferred it over our usual sensitive toothpaste brand. It totally checks out well enough in our home. -
Irish springs is a soap you can count on. It has long since been around. Certain smells make me think of my dad and grandfather as it was a staple in our home. My husband tried this for free thanks to Butterly! He uses it more than his Dove soap bar.

Batman, Gotham’s protector! The dark knight! The bat! But… lost amongst the chaos of toys.
We were pretty stoked to get a superhero toy in the mail. The kids were super enthralled to open the plastic packaging, pressing the bat symbol repeatedly, asking for help to get the accessories out but only to find the accessories like the bat stars (is that what they are) wouldn’t fit on the hand they were suppose too. My just turned 4 year old could barely move the lower half of Batman’s body to throw any of the attachments. My 7 year old was able to do it but wasn’t overly impressed by how well it worked. The 20 phrases and sounds were more or less, boring. We are definitely not a family of dedicated superhero fans (at least not until the kids are much older for some good movies) so Batman sort of took a backseat after the newness left him. We find him mostly now in the play area amongst the rest of the fallen toys. Not to say he doesn’t get played with but just not as often. I’m sure if he was given to a child who is all about Batman and superhero’s he would have had a much better review. For now our kids stick to the favourites. But we loved the introduction to Batman. We watched the Lego Batman movie to give our kids some Batman history but until they’re a bit older, he will stay in the piles of toys, always moving until one of our three kids are ready to play with him. Until then, he can brood with the other toys waiting their turns.

I love eco friendly ideas as much as the next person in this warming climate, and I am all for new products and companies making a point of being eco friendly. I have been selected to try the shampoo bar, Oat Delicacy, and much to my excitement I have to say, meh! I love that this is a new(ish) idea from big companies that we all know and love and putting it all out there that they are for the planet! Going eco-friendly is a big thing in my house. However, I found the product itself just wasn't doing it for me. I have straight long, (like nearly to my bum long) hair, so using it two to three times to lather in my hands to get my whole head covered in suds is typical, but I can only imagine what it would look like if my hair was long AND curly. The smell is fantastic. It's got that going for it. But, it tangles. A lot. It would be nice if perhaps there is a conditioner bar that would one day accompany the shampoo bar.. (hint hint, nudge nudge @ Garnier) I can totally get behind the idea of less plastic, more useable soap, recyclable boxed items, plant based ingredients etc. But it has to be able to work. If you have short hair, it would likely work okay. It does work but would strive for on the go for camping or travelling. It hasn't made me itchy, but it also hasn't cured any dandruff either. My husband used it and likes the eco ideals behind it but wasn't all that impressed either. Perhaps another line for of other smells is also needed for a different market. I could get behind tear-free bars for kids, or other fabulous scents liked by all. Overall, it works. Just like the next soap. But beware the tangles. Looking forward to some more products and maybe some conditioner bars, or 2-in-1 bars. But great job hitting the eco-friendly side Garnier! Way to take initiative! -

The Neutrogena bright boost overnight recovery gel cream is in a nice package, has a strong but moderate scent but is not for me. I was selected for a trial of this product and during my time using it, it caused me more acne and oily skin then my normal routine, which is just washing my face with water. I would classify my skin as moderately sensitive, and at the starting point of aging. The bright boost did not seem to have any affect on my skin with even skin tone or looking more energized. When applying the film of cream it is soft and almost a velvet texture but the scent is heavy especially when you apply the cream around your nose, it tended to make me breathe heavier, washing it off or avoiding my nose seemed to help. I give this 2 stars because it simply is not for me. It doesn't mean that it may not work well for others. The routine is suppose to be used in conjunction with other bright boost creams/gels for a fully cleansing bedtime and wake up routine. -

Well, what can I say but wipes are wipes. But... there are the differences in material, brand, scent and quality. I was hesitant to try the auqa wipes due to the price but bit the bullet and now it’s what I buy. I’ve always been a pampers mom and used the pampers sensitive wipes for my first and now for my second and have always loved the quality. I still use sensitive from time to time but I prefer the aqua as it has less chemicals, less of a scent and seems to be thicker than the average wipe. So it sort of makes up for the difference in quantity as 1 wipe stretches a little farther. My only flaw is the price. It still sits a bit with me every time I go to the store and I stand in the baby aisle himming and hawing over which one I would rather pay for. Recently the aqua has made the list as it’s super gentle on my sensitive little guys face, hands and bum. My next favourite wipe will be the gentle, scent free, chemical less flushable wipe... still looking for that but till then, it’s an aqua wipe. -

It's not the same... growing up my family would get pot of gold milk chocolate edition every Christmas. I loved the big solid bar in the middle to the point my sister and I use to fight over who got to eat it. Luckily there was two in every box. But over the years they have cut out some chocolates and added more nuts. I'm allergic to tree nuts so I can only eat 25% of the whole box. (Not anaphylactic). At least once over the holidays I accidentally eat a nut one and have to up my doses of Benadryl because most of the chocolate looks the same. It would be nice if they could make them a bit more different to highlight the ones with nuts. Otherwise I do still enjoy them. But miss the old days with the bigger boxes and some of the flavours. -
