It is lactose-free (perfect for my husband) and sugar free (perfect for me), of which taste wasn't sacrificed at all! It is a fairly new product so the only issue I had was being able to find it at my grocery stores without the almonds - I went to five big chain supermarkets around me until I found this box. -
