McCain Savoury Wedges

My Brookside Dark Chocolate samples (3 full-size bars) arrived today and my husband and I went straight to the taste-test!
First of all, the packaging is just beautiful! I thought the paper outer package was really nicely designed, but then I got to the sealed foil within and I was surprised by the beautiful colours and printed embelishments ...... but it doesn't stop there! When you open the foil, you will find that the chocolate within is not divided in the same old basic squares. No, it's imprinted with the brookside tree logo and even the name across the middle of the bar! It was a great little adventure in chocolate.....and we hadn't even gotten to the tasting yet!
The taste, of course, was wonderful. The smooth, creamy, delicious chocolate flavour that I expect from Brookside, but I just loved the little zings of tart cherry and pomegranate. Personally I think I would prefer this one without the crunch, but that was a minor point and just a personal preference (my husband liked it just the way it is!)
This chocolate was a really fun experience from beginning to end and I will be buying it again. And I will definitly be looking for these tablet bars in the future for Christmas stockings, gift baskets, a small but lovely token to add to a greeting card .......

We absolutely loved the Brookside Mango Coconut Crunch Chocolate bar at my house! I opened the box and my husband and I set out to sample all three flavours (I was fortunate enough to get to sample them all for free through Chickadvisor!) .... Mango Coconut was definitely our favourite. It's unlike any other chocolate bar that I have tried, a truly unique flavour (and I admit to consuming more than my fair share of this type of chocolate!) The Brookside Dark Chocolate has such a smooth and creamy texture and the 'crunch' part is very subtle. I think it's just about perfect, and the price is right in line (maybe a little lower!) than some of the other big names in premium chocolate. -

My free full-size Dark Chocolate Brookside bars arrived today from ChickAdvisor and I didn't wait to sample all three of them! I love the taste of Brookside chocolate, and the blend of blueberry, almond and acai is just perfect. The chocolate has a smooth texture and the berries lend just the perfect touch of occassional chewiness that I love. I will definitely buy this bar again in the future. -

Batiste Original was the first dry shampoo I ever tried, and it's still the best!
Over the past 5 years, my hair has become less oily than it used to be, which means I can't wash it every day without drying out the ends. With Batiste I can stretch out the time between washes and just freshen up the roots, get a bit of volume and life.
I've read reviews of dry shampoo that leave white residue, but I've never experienced that with Batiste. Just hasn't been a problem for me at all. And I can comb through it no problem and it seems to wash out just fine.
I was a little concerned that it would make my head itchy like some mousse products do, but I've had no problems with that.
I love this stuff and I will continue to use it, happily! I think I'd like to try XXVolume next.

I had to buy a pair of sheer pantyhose in a hurry for New Year's Eve and I ended up with these Secret Ultra Sheer that I'd never bought before (risky). That risk paid off, however, because these turned out to be the best fitting, sheerest AND strongest pantyhose I've ever had!
They looked so long when I took them out of the package that I feared they would be sagging at the ankles before long - They Didn't. The 'panty' was the perfect length too, stayed up all evening while I danced my butt off and never rolled down or anything. They look and feel SO sheer that I was afraid they'd snag and run, but they didn't do that either (and they got a bit of testing in that department.) They made my legs look and feel fabulous (essential in a short skirt on NYE!)
There was nothing about these hose that I didn't like and at $10/pair (probably cheaper at some stores), I'd say the value was fantastic. I will definitely be buying these again before spring!

L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray
I love Elnett. It gives my hair just enough 'help' to keep the style without making it sticky or stiff. I can brush right through it without damaging my hair. And I always buy the unfragranced version so my hairspray isn't competing with my perfume!

It's an exceptional mascara for the price. Stays put on my lashes without making them brittle, washes off like a dream, won't break the budget. What's not to love?!

When we bought our condo 3 years ago, I purchased Behr paint simply because it was on sale at the retailer we were shopping at. I know that I loved working with it and I loved the results, but I'd forgotten the details.
This past week I finally got to reno-ing the last room in the house and I chose to go with Behr again - SO glad I did! It went on just as smooth and easy as I remembered, great consistency and no dipping or splattering. And the coverage was amazing. I didn't prime over the old paint and I didn't even prime the raw drywall patches, but the paint covered beautifully. The first coat was practically perfect and the second coat just evened out the areas where I'd missed spots or squeezed it out too thinly. No VOC's, no smell, dry in an hour and recoat in 2 hours. And it's tough! Just hours after painting, we moved furniture back into the room and things kept banging against walls and I kept freaking out - but there was not a mark to be seen! I will never cheap out on paint again. Buy Behr and you'll be done in no time and with no mess! (note: the employee at the store tried to upsell me to the 'Ultra' but I chose not to....got the same amazing results without paying the extra!)

I've been using the Vichy Idealia Life Serum that I received free as part of the ChickAdvisor review club. After nearly 2 weeks (I think), I can say that I am in love with this stuff! My skin has issues related to age and stress (sensitive patches, dullness, uneven tones and general blah!) , but I don't typically bother with anything more than lotion in the morning, night cream at bedtime, and makeup if I'm leaving the house.
The first day I applied the Life Serum after washing my face in the morning, then a bit of moisturizer, then my makeup to even out my skin tone (though the results are never great.) Second day I did the same but found my makeup seemed to look smoother when I was done. Imagination? Can't be, because after a week I took some time to look closely at my clean skin after my shower, and it was very obvious that those nasty pores on my nose were definitely noticeably finer and the tone of my skin was much more even. Just a dab of foundation goes on very smoothly now and blends beautifully. Those nasty irritated areas on my cheeks have tamed right down and I had to look really closely to see them. My skin just feels comfortable and the last 4 years of super-stress are almost erased, I swear.
This morning I was doing my eye make up and lips before I realized that I hadn't used any foundation - took a good look at my skin and decided I didn't need to! I'm not afraid of looking natural and looking my age as long as I still look healthy and bright, and that is what this Life Serum has done for my skin.
This products has worked for me and this is one I will definitely buy again! (Thank you Vichy and ChickAdvisor for throwing this lovely little extra into the night cream trial!)
