A few months ago, I decided to try Shellac polish on my nails. I've always been hesitant, concerned about nail damage, but the nail tech assured me that if I use cuticle oil it would minimize harm to my nails.
I ran out of oil a couple of weeks ago and had it on my list, just kept forgetting.
Enter L'Occitane Strengthening Shea Nail and Cuticle Oil.
Such a cute tube and applicator, although I gave a little too much pressure the first time using it and got way more than I needed; every time after that it's been the ideal amount with it's built-in brush wand.
The scent is a soapy almond, which I love.
After five days of using this oil twice a day, my cuticle beds look healthy, conditioned and nourished.🧴
Very pleased with this product so far, L'Occitane has never disappointed me in their quality - I recommend and will self-purchase.

Prgifted MicroDiPeptide229® Triple Firming Neck Cream by @neostratacanada and @thisisbutterly in exchange for my review.
I have been searching for a neck cream for years, and I haven't had much success, so to be introduced to a different brand and cream, I was all in.
Here we go NEOSTRATA® MicroDiPeptide229® Triple Firming Neck Cream, starting with scent: there isn't any, which is great.
The cream is beyond rich, it's thick, it has a matte texture once applied, and application was a bit of trial and error. The first time I used it, I must have taken too much or rubbed it in too vigorously or perhaps too long, because (and this is the only way I can think to describe it) it pilled and rolled up almost like little sticky balls.
The next time I applied it, I used less and patted it more into my skin, and didn't do it for as long.
I haven't seen any results yet; it's early days. I think, however, my personal plan of action, since the texture is thick, is that I'm going to use it at night, and as the weather cools, I'll use the brand's recommendation, which is twice a day, morning and night.
I had no bad skin reactions, and it hasn't irritated my skin.
I'll know in a couple of weeks the full effects, which is when I should see results.

Show off that smile for that summer selfie!
PRgifted from therabreath their Whitening Fresh Breath Oral Rinse - Dazzling Mint.
Wow, it's August already. I hope you've been having an incredible summer so far. It's been a busy season, but I always have time for my beauty rituals that include oral health. I'm loyal to my routine: that's brushing, flossing, and mouthwash after meals.
I've been looking for a new whitening mouthwash brand since my old one discontinued the formula, and the one I've been using as a substitute is a'ight, but not great.
Having an opportunity to try Therabreath Whitening Fresh Breath Oral Rinse - Dazzling Mint was something that I was totally game for.
The packaging is fun with its sparkles and the bright orange cap.
Giving it the sniff test, I was surprised that I detected more of an orange scent first and not a minty one.
The flavor matches the scent: orange/citrusy first, with the second level being minty, and then a familiar, slightly bitter, whitening mouthwash taste. Which is normal and didn't surprise me.
My breath felt fresh and clean for a few hours.
My teeth, in less than a week of using it, are holding their level of whiteness, but it's early days, time will tell how white they'll get.
I will use it again, it's good to have an alternative.
I like it a lot, but don't fully love it.
Have a shiny day!
Got it free from thisisbutterly for testing and review purposes.

#prGifted @bluelizardsunscreen.ca Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Stick.
It’s official, it’s summer and the longest day of the year is here to launch it!
While we should be using sunscreen every day of the year to preserve the skin we have, I know we think about and do apply it more this time of year.
I personally use sunscreen every day; it’s a part of my daily skincare regimen. Each year, I have found that companies have been getting better at innovating and improving their sunscreen products. 🌥
Like this Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen Stick. They’ve made it convenient to use, convenient to carry, and convenient to reapply as needed.
As you can see, its design is simple, like familiar deodorant packaging, but a lot smaller, easy to fit into your purse or pocket to have it at the ready.
I typically apply my sunscreens after moisturizers. This product starts off with a white hue, but it blends down to match my skin tone.
It is light, not only in weight but in texture; it has no scent, and a smooth finish. I’ve worn it several days with no skin irritation, and most importantly, no sunburn or tan.
So I would say that SPF 50 is enough of a level for protection, which, from what I’ve heard, is about all one needs in their SPF, but I won’t be offended if a doctor corrects me
This is a small package, and I wouldn’t say it’s intended to be used all over your body for a big beach or pool day. More for face, neck, shoulders, hands, and other exposed areas.
I highly recommend this sunscreen.

I love the youthful look of glowing skin, and since I no longer tan (I gave that habit up over twenty years ago), having a glossy shimmer that catches the light just beams summer-sun radiance to me.
L'Occitane NEW almond shimmering body oil, remarkably, does everything it states that it's supposed to do with the very first usage, and that's very rare with a product from my experience.
The oil is light; it soaks into the skin easily, spreads flawlessly. It doesn't feel oily once it's absorbed into the skin and one of the best parts, besides the radiant look of my skin and how soft my skin feels, is that it doesn't transfer to my clothes, leaving them stained.
And let's not miss the fact that my skin felt incredibly hydrated and healthy.
The scent to me is a soft, powdery almond; to my husband, it reminds him of baby powder.
I've used the oil with about three different summer scents, which all have notes of vanilla, warm spice, and are powdery. It would also pair nicely with classic nutty tropical summer fragrances.

Forever my main concern has been thicker/fuller hair, the next concern is that it hydrates and it's safe for color-treated hair.
The Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum is lighter weight than an Argon Oil. I've used the tiniest amount on my hair, first rubbing my hands together before rubbing it on my hair. Thankfully it's not oily, my hair at this point doesn't feel stronger yet, but it's shinier and appears fuller.
OGX Bond Protein Repair system, it 100% is worth trying.
The photo of me is at least three hours after styling my hair, no hair touchup, no filter, and good lighting, I just had to take a selfie and share. And isn't out in the real world the real proof if a product works?

Hair for you!
Got it free the OGX Bond Protein Repair system from @ogxbeautycanada @thisisbutterly @ogx_beauty.
I liked these OGX haircare products way more than I was expecting to. Forever my main concern has been thicker/fuller hair, the next concern is that it hydrates and it's safe for color-treated hair
I used a small amount of conditioner from midway to my tips and combed through, I never use any conditioner root to tip primarily because I find if I put conditioner on my roots it makes my hair oilier faster.
A small amount is all I needed, my hair was easy to comb it through, and it's not too heavy quite light which is a plus for me.
My husband uses more to get a deep condition.
This is really all you need to know, I'm happy; I've used the products thrice and I've had mind-blowing/hair-blowing hair days.
It checked my haircare concern boxes.
I recommend and will purchase.

I liked these OGX haircare products way more than I was expecting to. Forever my main concern has been thicker/fuller hair, the next concern is that it hydrates and it's safe for color-treated hair.
When I opened the box and read the bottles I didn't read any of that on the packaging, as a true product tester I went for it and encouraged my husband to use it as well, because honestly, he has gorgeous hair, it's fuller/thicker, longer and stronger than mine. He washes his hair and blow dries his long locks daily so he's a perfect candidate for this type of haircare system.
We both found that the lather wasn't the frothiest on the first shampoo, I found it had a foamier, richer lather for the second, but he would have liked it even more. I felt my hair was fully clean. The scent is light and not overpowering.
This is really all you need to know, I'm happy; I've used the shampoo thrice and I've had mind-blowing/hair-blowing hair days.
It's not overly harsh on my color.
My husband likes them too, he asked me if they were expensive and they are not. Each time he uses them I notice that his hair has more body and is shinier.
I will continue to use and will repurchase.

Barely scented, the texture was a lot lighter than I expected, which is a good thing; it absorbed quickly without leaving a heavy oily residue that I hate. It was soothing and deeply penetrating, my skin felt more conditioned and balanced.
