The Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA ointment didn’t come with many instructions but the label read “apply as needed” so I used it on my heels and elbows. My heels especially were in need of some TLC after being stuffed in boots all winter! To be honest, I didn’t see much of a difference after using the Ointment. I really like the applicator it came in. It was soft and easy to use. It doesn’t have a smell to it which I prefer because I don’t like strong scents. Hearing the word “Ointment” made me believe it would work better than the balm, but I was a little bit disappointed that it didn’t. In conclusion I wouldn’t buy this product again. -

This month, I had the opportunity to test the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm and Ointment. I wanted to get a variety of opinions so I had my husband and three children try out the products as well.
When I first used the Aveeno Cracked Skin Relief CICA Balm I found its consistency to be very thick however when applying it was very easy to rub into my skin. During the first few days I didn’t find that I stayed moisturized any longer than I did with other lotions I have previously used. However with continued use I started to really notice how much softer my skin was becoming, my softer skin was very noticeable. Amazing! My husband and one of my daughters found the products reminded them of Vaseline (petroleum jelly). Another felt it was oily. My littlest one has the driest skin and I found it worked well for her.
One of my girls who plays competitive sports mentioned how nice her skin felt one evening at her practice. It was amazing because she had applied the balm in the morning!
I recommend the Balm! It’s easy to apply, effective and has no smell. My suggestion would be to offer the Balm in a smaller tube if possible, for individuals that would like to take it on the go.

The packaging is convenient and the product is easy to use. I prefer squeeze bottles for my cream but using this container at my desk is fine. I bought a different version by Nivea that that is the same shape but I can screw the top one for my purse (Nivea Soft). -
