Well I tried the product I recieved, which was the Dove Original Beauty Bar. I havent used a bar soap except for homemade soaps in a long time. I tried to use it in the shower and also as a hand washing soap in the bathroom. So in the shower it seems overwhelming, it goes onto the skin very thick and never quite feels like it's all rinsed off, my skin almost feels too slippery in the shower (not really squeaky clean). Also it makes a big mess on the shower ledge and when you pick it up it's all soggy on one side and goey in my hand, not too appealing to reach for. Who uses bar soap nowadays when there is shower gel and liquid soaps available? lol. So by the sink I put it on a dish and same results as shower, it ends up being a slimy mess when you pick it up and end up with goo everywhere, it slips and slides out of the dish onto the couter, leaving a mess trail there, and because we wash our hands a lot, the dish was constantly filling up with water and slime, it was quite gross and not at all appealing to use again! Sorry... price is good though, and I'd probably take a bar or 2 camping, or keep under the sink in case I'm ever in a pinch, but would never use it on a regular basis
