A colleague of mine introduced me to this micellar water about 2 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since! With sensitive, acne-prone skin which is also extremely dry/somewhat combination (which is as lovely as it sounds), this micellar water is perfect for my skin. I use this as a last step after double-cleansing or after using a mask; in the summer if I’m not wearing makeup I’ll use this after a day in the sun or in the water; I even keep one in my gym bag for a quick refresh after hot yoga. Not only does it leave my skin feeling super clean, but because it’s also hydrating I can use it repeatedly with a cotton pad until I’ve removed all traces of dirt — and it’s in no way drying or irritating. My favourite part is how reasonably priced it is (about $20 in the Shopper’s Drugmart Boutique), and what’s even better is that it goes on sale 2/$30 every couple of months — so I’m never paying full price for it, and the bottle lasts me at least 2 months. I’ll honestly never even consider another micellar water again! -

To be totally honest, I’ve only been using this Marula Oil since it came with the DE TLC minis I’ve bought in the past and I have quite a few to use up. I combine it with the DE A-Passioni Retinol cream and will also use it sometimes on its own when I feel that my skin is exceptionally dry. I do think it makes some difference in that it appears to lighten the red marks I have from leftover acne, but I also can’t be totally sure that that’s not one of my other products I’ve been using. Overall it’s a decent oil and does absorb well. It’s also only $50 which is quite cheap for a DE product so in that sense I believe it’s worth the price. But is it the best facial oil out there? Debatable. I would really rather pay a higher price tag for something that has more dramatic results (but maybe I haven’t given it a fair chance...). -

This is my first time using a retinol and I’m so happy that DE came through again, and it didn’t disappoint! As someone with acne-prone skin, this has really helped clear up my cystic acne (from beneath the skin) and after 2 weeks of using it daily I can definitely see a difference. I also love that like all DE products, it’s clean and made with the highest quality ingredients and is paraben and sulphate-free. One thing I will caution is that (like any retinol), you really DO need to take your time incorporating it into your routine to see optimal results. I started using it one night a week, progressed to twice, then every other night, and am finally using it every evening. I combine it with the DE Marula Oil to counteract the dryness and add it as the last step of my routine, and it’s magic. Can’t wait to see the results after a month! At $90 it’s one of the “less expensive” DE products and I definitely think it’s worth the price. -

I’ve been using the Drunk Elephant TLC for over a year now and can’t rave about it enough. As someone who suffers from cystic acne, this is my bi-nightly serum I use to keep my skin clear and to lighten up existing red marks and scarring. A little bit goes a long way and while it’s a bit pricey at $120, I find it lasts me about 4 months and I really notice a difference when I don’t use it — so it’s worth the price tag to me. It can be a bit drying so I recommend combining it with a really hydrating moisturizer at night (especially during the winter). If you’re looking for a serum to brighten your complexion and give you a glow, I highly recommend it! -

I'm a huge fan of lemon teas especially for detox purposes, so I was really excited to try this new tea from Tetley -- especially when I saw it was great for the immune system. I've been having it every day for the last few weeks and I'm obsessed. I can't say for sure what it's been doing for my immune system, but it tastes great and (knock on wood!) I haven't been sick yet (and I normally get hit with a cold this time of year). Definitely recommend this to anyone looking to incorporate a great lemon tea into their routine. Compared to the Yogi teas I normally buy (at $5.99+) this one is far more reasonably priced. -

I think I've found my new favourite quick meal!! As a vegetarian, it's a constant struggle to add variety to my diet, and it's next to impossible to find a meat-less quick fix on a busy night. Knorr One Skillet Meals have been a lifesaver!! I sauteed some chickpeas to substitute for the chicken, added the other ingredients as listed and voila -- the flavour was unbelievable and I was able to make 3 meals out of this. I would never have imagined you'd get so much flavour from one little package. I will definitely buy these again and will be keeping these (and the other One Skillet Meals) in my cupboard for whenever I need a quick meal! -

These muffins completely surpassed my expectations and are definitely the best store-bought muffins I've ever had!
Generally speaking, I try to avoid muffins due to the high sugar content, but these have definitely changed my opinion -- especially knowing they're made with such wholesome ingredients. I love that they were light and fluffy and didn't taste like they were packed with tons of sugar. They genuinely tasted "good and simple". The individual wrapping is also great and kept them nice and fresh which is a bonus, because I'm often forced to throw out store-bought baking goods because they end up going stale on me before I eat them. So while the price is a little higher than usual, you end up paying for what you get as they use high-quality ingredients and the product stays fresher much longer -- so it's a win-win all around!
If these are any indication as to the rest of the product line, I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of their muffins and also the bars!

As someone who is vegan and at the very least lactose-intolerant, ice cream has been one of the saddest things I've had to give up. So when I heard about this new non-dairy dessert, I was ecstatic and couldn't wait to try it! I still honestly can not believe it's not dairy. The creamy texture and flavour is spot-on, and I would even say that the cookies in this flavour are much larger, bigger chunks than I've ever seen in a cookies & cream variety. Way to go Ben & Jerry's -- I was never brand-loyal about ice cream (and the like), but you've made one happy vegan customer for life! -

I was really impressed by the texture since I know risotto is a tough one to make just right in a restaurant, let alone in an easy-made side dish -- so to be fair I was apprehensive to try it. That said, for a quick side dish I thought it was great! The flavour was wonderful and it was an easy make which is a bonus. The fact that it's much better for you than the usual side dishes is also a great plus! -

I recently moved into an apartment that I don't think had been cleaned in 5 years and had been lived in by a bunch of guys (read: FILTHY), and we used this spray for the grossest of messes like in the kitchen where there was food residue like behind the stove and refrigerator, and in the bathroom on the shower and toilet -- and it worked wonders. The bleach smell isn't NEARLY as overpowering as a lot of those that you find on the market, and yet it did a great job and definitely left me feeling confident that I had killed the bacteria and gotten rid of the nasty mess I was trying to clean up. I will definitely be keeping this one as a staple for those extra grimey messes where you want the reassurance of using bleach!
