Amazing food, although the portions are small and the prices high. The room is very nice, and the servers are quite good. The Hot and Sour soup is deadly hot, though.

I could see the Revolving Restaurant being a good place to come for a few drinks, but eat before you go out. I've been disappointed everytime.

Masawa is an Ethiopian Restaurant in the heart of Osborne Village. The food is fantastically good, wonderfully cheap and has a great ambiance. The service is unescapably slow, but when you consider they make everything fresh to order, it is definately worth the time waiting. You should budget your time when you go, and expect to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour for your food to come on a Friday night. Make sure you order a bottle of Merlot while you wait! Part of the waiting game is what gives Masawa it's charm. And the room is so cozy and warm feeling, that you certainly don't mind. -

I've been going to The Fyxx for over 12 years now, and I think it's one of the best places in WInnipeg. The food is made fresh to order, the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff and always friendly and approachable. I've had many first dates at The Fyxx on Albert street! Many that went quite well. And their lattes and by far better than anything you'll find at Starbucks or Second Cup. I recommed their "What's Gotten India" sandwich. Paired with a caesar salad and for under $10 ... fabulous! -
