This product has been a lifesaver for my curly hair! I recommend it to anyone who has tight curls. I put it in when my hair is wet just out of the shower, and blow-dry it with alberto's hairspray. It's doesn't make my hair gummy like gels do, and not crispy like mousses. It really is the best of both products, provides hold, but keeps my curls soft. The trick is you need to use it with the hairspray so the curls will hold and the blowdrying will soften it up. I was extremely sad to see it start to disappear from grocery and drugstore shelves, I hope it's never discontinued, I wouldn't use anything else!    -
