Dr Brandt's microdermabrasion age defying exfoliator recommends using it 1 to 2 times per week with at least 3 days in between each treatment, on a damp face. My experience was that more than 3 days was needed in order to recover between treatments. I was using the all skin types version and I found the recommended 1-2 minutes of massaging into my face similar to taking a fine grit piece of sandpaper and slowly rubbing it across my skin. My face was left feeling raw and bright red, tender to the touch and sensitive to rinsing. After completing 2 rounds of this I began to experience breakouts across my T zone. I know its age defying but I didn't think it would take me back to my teenage years! Maybe I should have only used it once every 2 weeks to take me back to my mid 20s, early 30's....I can NOT recommend this product. If I could give it less stars I would....sorry Dr. brandt -

Paul Mitchell's Colorcare shampoo offers a quality salon product at great value. Compared to similar class shampoos, I found I used less Colorcare product to obtain better results. Which makes this a sound purchase value wise in my opinion. I am a ringe and repeat girl so using only a dime size amount, I did my first wash which allowed the product to loosen surface dirt effectively, this step dangled but did not create that thick lather I like, so after a rinse I used the same amount which worked into a full lather and completed an effective clean. My hair did not feel stripped or dried, or coated and heavy, as I've experienced with other color protect products, and in fact felt fresh, light, and clean. Where other products have have left my hair smelling over scented, heavy and limp, this was not the case with Paul Mitchell's Colorcare shampoo. After blow drying, Colorcare shampoo left my hair with "out of the salon" vibrant color shine, bouncy body, and a fresh, clean feel. This product is of a value and quality that I can get behind! -
