We were selected by #ChickAdvisor to try these new yogurt and fruit puree "pouches" by Iogo & I selected the Blueberry flavor. My 6 year old son has ASD and has a list of about 20 foods that he will actually eat as he has issues with textures, smells and tastes (can't do fizzy, sour, etc.). He does enjoy yogurt drinks, tubes and "mini" containers - as long as the yogurt has no fruit bits in it. He also enjoys different fruit purees and this is one of the ways I manage to sneak some veggies into his diet (he will only eat cucumbers on his own, that's it). So, although excited to be selected, I figured that this test run would be a wash because of my son's issues with food. So, imagine my surprise when my son not only squeezed the pouch full of goodness back in about 5 seconds, but he requested a 2nd pouch! Packaging is convenient, price point is fair - I definitely will buy again and recommend. Thanks for choosing us ChickAdvisor - because of you, we #gotitfree - Cheers! -

Carnation Instant Breakfast was a big thing when I was a teenager years ago. Playing on the junior basketball team, those that were cool & "in the know" always had a container of milk & an envelope of Carnation Instant Breakfast to mix & drink before starting our early morning practices or to get a quick boost of energy before playing a game after a long day of school.
Fast forward 20 years...and not much has changed. Instead of being the athlete myself, my Boys, ages 6 & 12 are the athletes. Instead of basketball, hockey is the preferred sport. Instead of using a recycled yogurt container to shake up the instant breakfast, they have "protein shake" bottles with those lovely, handy shaker balls.
What HAS changed? The flavor is better; richer. More chocolaty, without being too sweet. Smoother - not nearly as gritty. Blends 10x better! Mind you, I'm sure that's the shaker balls.
The price point is great - it's a completely different market these days. Flooded with powdered breakfast drinks & shakes. Consider a 6-pack of Boost is $12-13, an individual protein shake from a convenience store is $4-5, this is 12 shakes for $10 - yes, you need milk - but even then, it still works out to less than $2 a shake!
Great for on the go - add 1-2 ice cubes. In your container to keep it ice cold and/or mix with unsweetened chocolate almond milk for a completely different tasted & added health benefits.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor for testing purposes. I was excited to be chosen as I have heard lots of good things about Vichy Skincare, but it is generally out of my price range, so I had yet to try the various products out there. I used the Light face cream for 2 weeks at least once a day as part of my skincare routine, if not twice a day (some days I crash in bed with my kiddos before I have a chance to wash my face and do my routine) and I found that my skin felt soft and was hydrated as promised. Even though this skin cream is :lighter" than others I have tried, I still found that it did not absorb as readily as I would have liked. I found the serum and eye balm to be much more penetrable with my skin, which made them more favorable. However, there was no scent and it did leave my skin feeling silky, so it was okay. I recommend, but not my fave product out of those I tried. -

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor for testing purposes. I was excited to be chosen as I have heard lots of good things about Vichy Skincare, but it is generally out of my price range, so I had yet to try the various products out there. I used the serum for 2 weeks at least once a day as part of my skincare routine, if not twice a day (some days I crash in bed with my kiddos before I have a chance to wash my face and do my routine) and I found that my fine lines in my skin and my pores were dramatically reduced. My skin feels so soft after using this product. The product was not oily and absorbed easily - while you are supposed to follow up with the face cream afterwards, if it was hot or muggy out, I found that I just wore the serum under my makeup because it absorbed so easily and did not feel heavy or make my skin feel oily. I totally recommend this product! -

I received this product free from ChickAdvisor for testing purposes. I was excited to be chosen as I have heard lots of good things about Vichy Skincare, but it is generally out of my price range, so I had yet to try the various products out there. While I loved all 3 products that I tested, the Awakening Eye Balm was my favorite by a smidge. I would consider it more of a cooling gel - it is easy to apply and you don't need to use very much at all, making the bottle last a long time, giving it better value. I used the products for 2 weeks at least once a day as part of my skincare routine, if not twice a day (some days I crash in bed with my kiddos before I have a chance to wash my face and do my routine) and found that the dark circles, bags and fine lines under my eyes improved dramatically. I liked the fact that it had no scent, and did not make my sometimes sensitive skin, break out in any way. The product was not oily and absorbed easily. I totally recommend this product! -

I received my SpinBrush complimentary from Chick Advisor for testing purposes. Having never used a SpinBrush or electric toothbrush before, I was quite excited to try it out.
I have always been a manual toothbrush user as I get my freebie from my Dentist every 6 months and it has never occurred to me that I needed to try something else - I thought I was getting my teeth clean enough and that plaque and tartar was just a part of having teeth!
I found it felt weird to use the SpinBrush at first...I felt like I was 'sanding' my teeth as opposed to cleaning them, but this must have just been a personal issue because I got over that after a few days use. Now I am loving using my SpinBrush. I find I still have to use a bit of a manual motion, but I am finally able to reach and clean my hard-to-reach back teeth properl. The toothbrush is a bit loud, but you get used to that as well.
My teeth are feeling & looking cleaner with regular use. I did score it a bit low for price, however. While a good deal for an electric toothbrush, when you take into consideration the cost of the unit, replacement heads, and batteries...nothing beats the freebie from the Dentist. I will, however, look to purchase replacement heads when they go on sale because I do like the health benefits (better breath, better clean, tighter gums, less bleeding, etc) from the SpinBrush vs. my manual brush.

I was intrigued by the format of these capsules...they are liquid which is to be put into water and then consumed. I found the taste quite off-putting, but did feel an increase in energy. However, I did not find it sustained my energy all day and I still experienced a crash in the afternoon. Better than nothing, but not ideal.
An email was then sent suggesting to put the capsule in a 1/2 cup of orange juice instead (the capsule liquid is supposed to be orange flavored although I find it tastes like cough syrup - like energy drinks often taste) and I did find this a better way to drink it.

I found these did just that - they were dense, chewy and had some crispy texture to them to make them feel like you were having something naughty instead of something good for you. A bit chalky in taste, but I find that is the case with most protein/meal replacement bars. These ones are better than most. -

I only have one cat, an indoor/outdoor male, but as we just moved to a new house -so I was beyond happy to have the opportunity to try this new Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal LightWeight litter! I generally hate cleaning a litter box (which is why he is an outdoor cat, among other reasons) but cleaning the box with this litter was SO easy! The litter clumped as promised, did not make a mess and had VERY little dust generated when I cleaned it, which compared to other clumping litters was amazing! I was also surprised and happy to see how light it was and easy to carry in the house...until I opened the box and saw it was only around 3/4 full; perhaps a little less. This might have been why it was so light to carry. I also find the price point a bit high compared to other similar products.

I was given a bottle of this version of Eucerin to try by my Boyfriend. I have been suffering from undiagnosed (LONG story!) Psorasis for over a year now, and just within the last six weeks it has blown up and starting to break out all over my body :( When the scales fall off, it is red and sore. I find using the Eucerin encourages the sores of psoriasis to clear up and not hurt as much. He challenged me to use it 2x a day for a week while I await to get into to see my GP to see about getting something stronger. I like how light the formula is, but how you can still feel it moisturizing. It truly is scent free and gentle on skin. I strongly recommend, even though it has not fully cleared up my psoriasis it has minimized some of my symptoms :) -
