This cherry with pomegranate flavor is very tasty indeed. It is both chewy and crunchy at the same time. I just loved the deep, dark chocolate layer at the bottom. It is so thick and delicious. I love the balanced combination of fruit, nuts and chocolate together. I really like that it is full on nutrients. A source of fiber and gluten free.
180 calories is not too bad for this size or bar but the price is a bit too much. It is listed at $1.99 which I assume is per bar. I cannot justify paying almost two dollars for one bar. Sorry-Tasty product, just too pricey for me.

I have been a long time fan of Brookside chocolate and often purchase a bag of chocolates as a treat for myself. To find out that they are not making fruit and nut bars was very exciting indeed. This convenient little bar is perfect for taking to work for a mid afternoon snack. I love that they are made with real fruit, are a source of fiber and are non-GMO and gluten free. What I love the most is they taste great. There is a thick layer of Dark chocolate along the bottom and the top is chucked full of fruit and nuts. It is both chewy and crunchy at the same time and is fully satisfying. Fills you up and is perfect when you have a chocolate craving.
It has about 180 calories which is more than my usually Nature Valley Bars which are 160 but the extra nutrients are probably worth it. I loved this Brookside Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bar - Blueberry with Acai but don't love the price. At $1.99 they are going to be too pricey for my budget. I can buy a whole box of Nature Valley for this price when they are on sale.
I guess like most foods the better it is for you the more expensive. Sad that these will be an occasional purchase only for my family.

I was thrilled when the ChickAdvisor product review club contacted me to let me know that I was chosen to receive a free bottle of Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water in exchange for trying this product and giving my honest opinion of how it performs. My first impression was "wow, that's a big bottle" I was so pleased to learn that the 400ml size bottle retails for just $9.99 . This I can afford, but will it work? Well the short answer is YES.
To use this new Micellar water by Garnier you simply soak a cotton pad with the product and use it on your face, eyes, lips and neck to gently remove makeup. I love that no rinsing is required and it will effectively cleanse your skin as it refreshes. As the name would indicate it just feels like water on your skin, but it is so much more. It lifts away dirt and oil without leaving your skin tight and dry. I must admit even though this product is a 3 in 1, meant to remove makeup, cleanse and refresh I prefer to use it after I have washed off my makeup. It gets all the extra gunk and residue off my face that regular soap leaves behind. It leaves my skin soft and clean but not dry at all. The only problem I have now is that my 23 year old daughter keeps stealing it from me. She never wears makeup but loves the clean, refreshed feeling she gets using this product. It is a winner in our house for sure. It is definitely worth the money and I have noticed a few rebate apps offering a couple dollars back when you purchase this product. Time to stock up on this one for sure.

I was super excited when my parcel containing Garnier SkinActive Miracle Anti-Fatigue Hydra-Gel Moisturizer arrived from @GarnierCAN and @ChickAdvisor. I received this product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Club in order to try it out and give my honest opinion. My first impression was that the bottle was very small for the $24.99 price point but one I realized how little you actually need to use to be effective it seemed more reasonable. This product is definitely named properly. It is a Miracle Wake-Up Cream. You only need to use a small pea-sized amount of this product to cover your face and neck. It absorbs quickly and feels amazing. It is not greasy or slimy at all. It actually feels like a primer. I found that it immediately smoothed out my skin. Moisturizing it and diminishing the look of my fine lines and wrinkles. Now lets be clear, I still have those annoying crows feet around my eyes but Garnier SkinActive made them less noticeable. Ultra-Lift Miracle Wake-Up Cream is wonderful under your foundation. You don't even feel it. My makeup went on smooth and even. You don't see it or feel it, but you certainly will notice that your skin is more hydrated. This time of the year with the colder winter wind my skin really dries out and tend to get flaky in areas especially around my nose and chin. The cream solved that problem. No more scales, just beautiful, moisturized skin with no greasy residue. I also love that I can use it under my eyes without the side-effect of itchy, watery eyes that I have experienced with other products. I really enjoyed having this opportunity to discover Garnier SkinActive Miracle Anti-Fatigue Cream and will probably continue to use it in the future. It is a little pricey but after using this product I think it is worth the extra money. -

I was very pleased to be chosen by Chick Advisor to product test a Dream Non-Dairy Beverage. I have tried other non-dairy drinks in the past such as Almond milk and Coconut milk but wondered what other options where out there. I was given a Free product coupon from the Chick Advisor product review club as well as an adorable little cake tester, two tea towels and some very interesting recipes. Since I had the opportunity to choose whichever Dream product I wanted, I decided to give one of the new blends a try.
I chose the Dream Blend Almond, Cashew & Hazelnut Drink. I love Almonds, Cashews and Hazelnuts so this sounded perfect. I have recently read lots of information about the benefits of consuming cashews. I have them almost every day. (as a snack)
This product says to serve cold, however with all the Christmas and New Years rush this year I forgot to put it in the fridge. So here I am sipping my Dream Blend over ice. I have to say it is pretty darn good. It is a little more watery that I expected it to be but delicious. Unfortunately I have a nasty cold right now and cannot taste everything exactly as it is but I am very pleased with the overall flavor of this beverage. It of coarse has a nutty flavor and is a little bit sweet which is nice since I purchased the unsweetened version. (I was scared it might be bitter) It is not.
This is a shelf-stable product which means it does not have to be refrigerated until after you open it. Once opened it should be consumed within 7 days. It is lactose and dairy free which is great for anyone who has problems with lactose intolerance. I do not suffer from this. I just don't like to taste of cow's milk and look for alternatives that are a good source of calcium. This Dream beverage is a great source of Calcium, Riboflavin, Vitamin D and B12. Yippy! It is Gluten and Soy Free. This is great because I have been reading a lot about the negative effects of Soy in our diets.
I am so happy to have had the opportunity to #TasteTheDream. At only 35 calories per cup. Great taste and nutritional benefits I will certainly be purchasing this product again. Thank you @ChickAdvisor and @haincelestial. Now it is time for a refill. Maybe this time I will add it to my coffee. I bet that will taste amazing. Oh and how delicious it would be in cereal. (which I usually just eat dry. A new twist to my overnight oatmeal? Oh yes I can't wait.

I received my free sample of #ScotchEssentials Easy Fix Button in exchange for my honest opinion. This is another wonderful item from @ScotchProducts. It is super easy to use. Just remove one of pins from the package and peel off the paper from the adhesive. Then pick the appropriate color button. (comes with 4 buttons, two that are clear, one that is black and one that is grey). Press the button you have chosen onto the sticky adhesive that is on the pin and press for about 10 seconds. Next simply remove the metal pin backing and pierce the pin with the button attached through your garment. (where your your lost button was) Replace the metal pin backing and you are done. It is like a little tie tac with a button stuck to the front of it. In-genius! You are done. Your shirt, shirt or pant is mended without any need for a needle or thread. Love it! Remember to remove this temporary button solution before you launder or dry clean your clothes. The nice thing is you can simply re-attach it after you dried and ironed your item. So easy. So convenient. Thank you @ChickAdvisor for allowing me the opportunity to discover and share this great and very helpful product. By the way readers you get four pins, four backings and four buttons in this package and the retail price is $9.99. Not too bad especially if you hate sewing or just don't have the time. P.S. I think this is a great idea especially if you like to change up your shoes. I have many favorite outfits that I can only wear with very high heel due to the pant length. Now with Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape I can easily and quickly make any of my pants or skirts shorter. Simply turn the garment inside out and fold up the hem to your desired length. Peel off adhesive strip and stick it to the inside edge. Peel off the top paper layer to reveal the sticky tape and fold up the portion you want as your new hem and firmly press. It is that easy! Since this is not a permanent product, it must be removed before laundering but what I love the most is you easily change your hem length whenever you want to depending on the shoes or boots you are wearing. I was so happy to receive my FREE sample of #ScotchEssentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips from @ScotchProducts and @ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion. I have so many work dress pant that the hem has come undone. I never have the time or skills to properly mend them. I must say this product so so super easy to use and I have about 3 more pairs of pants that will be instantly mended 1st thing tomorrow morning. Today I used this product for the first time. It is so simple. Turn your pants inside out so you can easily access the hemline. Open the package and remove one strip. For me the length of the strip was perfect. (you can trim it if less is needed). Carefully, press down the strip sticking the sticky side down on the fabric. Make sure that it is close to the fold line so that no extra adhesive will be exposed. Then carefully and slowly remove the brown paper backing. MAKE SURE NOT TO GET THE GLUE ON YOUR FINGERS. (To avoid it sticking to your fingers you can lightly dampen your fingertips with water) I suggest you do this because I did not and the glue strip is super sticky. Once the backing is removed you simply fold up the hem and stick it into place. Super Easy!! Because you are only applying a thin layer of adhesive there is no added weight to your hem and it is totally invisible. No marks, no ugly home stitching marks-nothing. Just press it down firmly and you are ready to go. It is the fastest and easiest way to correct a fallen hem I have ever experienced. This product is an excellent value. You get 30 strips for just $7.99. You could potentially use this product 30 times. Amazing! I will definitely be sharing the news of this fantastic product. I have not had the chance to launder my pants yet, but it states that as long as I use cold water and warm iron it should stay in place. Time will tell. About a week ago I received my Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File and I was jumping for joy all the way from the mailbox. I received it free from @chickadvisor in exchange for my honest review. Before I even took it out of the packaging I was very impressed by the weight of this electronic foot file. It felt really heavy and substantial. (Not cheap or flimsy at all) I was pleased once I opened the package to discover the batteries were already installed and the unit was pretty much ready to use. After reviewing the simple instructions I thought I would be brave and snap a picture of my very calloused foot. I work full time as a retail manager and have been wearing high heel shoes every day for over 20 years. I am on my feet all day long and sure do take a beating. I must admit I was totally grossed out when I viewed the pictures. "Are my feet really that disgusting??' Unfortunately, I guess they were-YUCK the proof was right there in the picture/s. Then I thought I am going to grab a sheet of my daughter's black construction paper and lay it down under my foot and just see what (if anything) comes off my scaly, dry, calloused feet. What happened next was amazing. I turned on the Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File and applied it to the world's biggest, hard callous you have ever seen. The file rotates very quickly but I could not even feel it on my foot because the skin had gotten so tough and hard over the years. Now keep in mind that I soak my feet at least once a week in Epson's salts, use a pumas stone and a manual foot file. (the cheese grater style). Immediately I could see the dust starting to fly, but it wasn't really dust at all. It was the dead skin being pulverized into dust. "Oh my Gosh, this is kinda discussing." "But oh so cool at the same time." I am so glad I had the forethought to lay down the piece of construction paper. If not my living-room carpet would of been covered in dry foot powder. After a few minuted of using the Pepi Perfect I was even more impressed. It was super comfortable to handle. The curvature of the device is excellent. No matter what area of the foot you are trying to reach it conforms beautifully. It even gets in behind your toes without eating them up. After using the file about 3 times over the course of the week I could see and feel a real difference. My over-sized callous was softer, smoother and for the first time in years I could actually feel my fingers on my foot instead of just tapping on a hard as rock dead platform of skin. I followed up each with a nice foot massage of coconut oil and in one week the change in very impressive. I think after discovering Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File I can honestly say I am #BarefootBeautiful . Thank you @ChickAdvisor and @AmopeCanada. To everyone else that reads this review it is my opinion that this product is well worth the money. The proof is in the pictures. -

I was very excited to once again be included in a ChickAdvisor product review club offer. I received my sample of Coppertone Sunscreen Lotion Sensitive Skin SPF 50 completely free of charge in exchange for giving my honest review. I waited for the sun to come out, and waited and waited. Just my luck it was a cloudy week and how can I test a sunscreen with no sun. The following week I feel ill and was out of commission for another full week. OK, so how am I going to test this stuff out? I had a plan. My 23 year old daughter just landed a new job as an ECE (early childhood educator) supervisor. She is constantly outside. Walking to and from the bus stop and playing outside with her students. Perfect. She has very sensitive skin and is particularly prone to sun damage due to red hair and fair freckled skin. So she slathered on the Coppertone Sensitive Skin sunscreen all over her face. It took a little time to completely rub in but that might of been because she used too much. Better safe than sorry. She didn't notice any odor at all which is great. It was very sensitive and did not sting when applied around her eyes. She did say it felt a little sticky but once it soaked in more she didn't notice it at all. After a full week of using Coppertone Sunscreen on her face she did notice that there were some areas like the bridge of her nose and her chin that the skin was starting to peel a little bit. It was not sore or irritated at all just some flaking and wondered if this was a coincidence or if it was due to using the Coppertone Sunscreen. We are not really sure. Anyways this product did protect her from the sun all week and did not cause any breakouts. She says this is an effective product that she would definitely consider purchasing in the future.
