Originally purchased for my son thinking that he'd play with the Skylanders figures even if he didn't like playing the video game. He does sometimes just play with the characters, but fell in love with the game right away. The character you'll be gets sucked in the game when you place the figure onto the portal. It can get expensive as they need to be purchased separately, but the excitement and hours of fun it provides is definitely worth it! -
