I found this product to be durable, just enough padding which I like because it protects the tools from unnecessary wear or marking and really helps with the noise that anyone with a tool box with drawers and trays knows which for me is one of the primary reasons I use the product. I also use some a 2sqft piece to put down on my desk or work top while working with sensitive electronics or things I would prefer to place on a softer surface while repeatedly picking them up and setting down during repair. I have used the dollar stuff before and had dollar store results and I’m telling you it’s worth the extra couple bucks to have a superior quality product that holds up to repeated use and I tend to be hard on things so I know anything I use at work or home gets put through its paces and then some -

I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality of these insulated screw drivers! As a repair technician I often have necessity for and utilize insulated screw drivers ( I work with low voltage controls and up to 240v appliances ) which means I was taking up space in my technicians backpack with several individual micro drivers (non insulated) as the insulated micro drivers were out of the budget. This handy kit not only saves space in my bag it also reduces the amount of weight I carry around and is super affordable. It has an excellent selection of head types from Torx to Phillips with micro to full size and is very easy to switch between them. Naturally when I first got the set a couple days ago my first thought was to make sure they are truly insulated and I used the flat head bit to unscrew the plate cover on a receptacle and poke around at the live wires and of course nothing happened….. conclusion? They are indeed insulated and safe to use on 110v. After playing around a bit with the various bits and heads I packed them away into my work bag and got my first opportunity to use them the next day during a service call in which I used the set to undo to screws to an access panel to walk-in cooler and re-wire the contacts and capacitor which are above the typical 110-120v found in the average home. I received no shocking results which are exactly how one would expect want things in this scenario! So far I’d say my favourite aspect of them is that aside from looking sharp, they feel like a high quality tool and so far they perform as such and I would highly recommend this for anyone who works with electrical systems or even an at home DIY guy. -
