I was lucky enough to be chosen as a ChickAdvisor to try out PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter. I have experience with different protein bars so I was really excited to try this one to compare. I LOVE the flavour AND the creaminess! What's even better is these are gluten free and reduced sugar. They are perfect for an energizing boost and satisfying a sweet craving. -

I received the NIVEA Q10 Anti-Age Hand Cream as a ChickAdvisor to try out and it couldn't have come at a better time. As a gardener, my hands are wrecked this time of year! But I've been using this product for a week and I am so impressed with the results! My hands have lost the permanent 'scaly' look they usually have, the skin is noticeably softer, and they just feel healthier. -

I received the NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Oil as a ChickAdvisor to test out. I've been using it now for a week and this stuff is AMAZING. I have an trauma injury on my leg from impact a few months ago. The skin, though not broken, was extremely bruised when I was injured and has been slow healing, forming cracks and discoloration. For months i've been trying everything with no change. In a week of using this oil i'm seeing dramatic improvement in the texture, color, and health of my leg! If it can do this for skin that needs serious repair, it definitely can help anyone using it for general improvement. -

I received Maybelline New York The Colossal Big Shot Mascara for free as a ChickAdvisor to trial and I'm so happy I did.
I think that in general Maybelline mascaras have come a LONG WAY. For the past few years I've been using high end/more expensive brands of mascara--benefit, Too Faced, Younique, YSL etc. so I was very interested to see how a 'drugstore' brand would hold up.
I was EXTREMELY surprised. I swear this mascara makes my eyelashes appear 2x as long! I even had people comment on them. Absolutely NO flaking either, which is such a big turnoff for me with mascara. The formula is smooth and easy to apply and the colour is rich and pigmented.

I got the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter for free as a ChickAdvisor to trial.
I am used to a powder highlighter so i was excited to try this out. I really like this product--it gives a great highlight and is a very soft shimmer, once you figure out how to use it! My first few times applying it, I used WAY TOO MUCH! You only need a very little amount of this highlighter! I'm used to powder versions where you have to layer it. Not so with this. Start out with a tiny dab-it's all you'll need. Works great at helping my face catch the light on the right angles.

As a Chickadvisor I got the Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Camo Colour Correcting Kit free to try out. I have redness AND blemishes so focused on these two 'corrections'.
REDNESS: this product did an awesome job of correcting the redness in my face. I had 3 differnent spots. I applied the product (green) with a makeup brush and it blended quite well. Note that you need a cover of some sort with this--I used my light formula bb cream and it covered really well. Overall great at reducing redness.
BREAKOUT/CONCEAL: I used the same application with a brush for my breakout on my chin. While the concealer did reduce the appearance a bit, I didn't find the formula as effective as my regular concealer.
Overall--I would definitely recommend this product for people with dark circles or redness as I think the true colour correction products in it work awesome. As for covering pimples, I'd go with something a bit more heavy duty as a concealer.

To be honest I'm not a regular lip liner user, so this was a great reintroduction to a new product. I really like how smooth it applies, yet it stays really well. I also like that it doesn't make me look like a clown, which has been my previous experience with lip liners. It definitely contains my lipstick and stops bleeding. -

It was also thicker than I expected (a good thing--I don't enjoy watery yogurt!). The pouch format was a bit awkward at first but I got used to it, and used the product in my smoothies. -
