I really enjoyed this Goldy's Superseed Instant Oatmeal Protein+. It's made with gluten free oats, chia, pumpkin and sunflower seeds which give you 10g of protein and 5g of fibre! And it's made in a nut free facility so that more people may enjoy it. It's ready in about 2-3 minutes so it's great for busy mornings. I tried it with both hot water and heating with milk in the microwave. I prefer the hot water method for ease of mixing and no messes - but with milk is much more rich and creamy. I think the next time, I will try with hot water at first to mix and then add in milk to help make it creamy until it's *just right* - get it? Goldy's? Just right?
The maple flavour really comes through and it's sweetened just right for me. Not too sweet - again, just right!! I was hoping for a bit more crunch in the seeds but it did add enough of a different texture to the soft oatmeal. I would just likes more of it! Overall, I would recommend this instant oatmeal. It's quick, easy, delicious and filling! All the things you need to start your day off right!

These Wild Tusker Pineapple Coconut Fun Bites are a delicious snack packed with the vibrant flavours of sweet and tangy pineapple and rich and nutty coconut. They smell AMAZING. Like opening a jar of coconut oil. They are super crunchy and kind of addictive. The small size probably keeps me from eating way too many in one sitting! These would be perfect to keep on you while on the go, school lunches, picnics. They are also super light, they would be ideal for a camping trip. I appreciate that they're made in small batches, certified organic, gluten-free, vegan and made with only 6 clean ingredients. There's no artificial colors, preservatives, or flavours. So if you like real coconut vs artificial coconut flavour, these could be the snack for you!

Rude Mama Passionfruit hot sauce is a bright, fragrant and flavourful sauce. It's well balanced with sweetness of the passionfruit, fiery spice from the thai chilis and tartness from apple cider vinegar. This actually tastes like a home made sauce (like homemade by someone who knows what they're doing). It's hand crafted locally here in Toronto and made in small batches from premium Canadian ingredients. It's based off a central Vietnamese recipe so I knew it would work well with my silken tofu recipe. The sauce is a base which can have ingredients swapped and added like sugar if you want a bit of sweetness. But because this Rude Mama sauce was already so balanced and had the sweetness from the passionfruit and cane sugar, there was no need to add more. The use of apple cider vinegar also added a depth of flavour vs just a regular white vinegar. The heat is mild to medium so it will make you sweat but not blow out your taste buds. Overall, I really loved this sauce and can't wait to make more dishes with it.

Bisou Earl Grey Crème tea is a twist on Earl Grey tea, adding the rich flavour of vanilla, and floral osmanthus petals to the classic bergamot flavoured black tea. The tea sachets come packed in a sealed plastic bag inside the box. When I opened it - wow - the aroma was amazing. I do wish the plastic bag were resealable to keep that wonderful smell in and the tea fresh. I brewed mine straight in the cup (vs a pot) and kept it in a little longer than the suggested 3 minutes since I like mine strong. I paired it with sweetener and milk which resulted in a smooth and comforting cup. The tea is certified organic and ethically sourced. The sachets are free of plastics, chemicals and dyes and are biodegradable. Overall, it's a good tea with a lovely aroma from a local company!

I'm a big believer in the importance of gut health and while I try to eat well on a regular basis, there are times when I just fall short. This is why I use supplements to well, supplement my diet.
I get the occasional gut bloat, and tummy issues so I do take probiotics occasionally.
The things that set these apart ar that it has a blend of pre and probiotics and digestive enzymes. With it being shelf stable, I don't worry about forgetting to take them. And the money back guarantee is something I haven't seen before. I appreciate that you can take 1 or 2 pill, that the pills are easy to swallow and there's no aftertaste.
To be honest, the results for me were not super noticeable. I've been in a good place lately with tummy issues and bloat so that may be why. However, my grandmother just finished a round of antibiotics so I gave her a course of these pills and she's noticed a great improvement to her bowel movements. She suffered from constipation previously and is now able to pass with much more ease.

This made-in-Canada formula includes daisy flower extract, vitamin E, black oats, lecithin and its hero ingredient: Hydroxytyrosol, a strong antioxidant from olive leaf extract. It's recognized as a more stable and potent antioxidant than Vitamin C, offering effective protection without the irritation or instability some people experience with Vitamin C products. It's an all-in-one moisturizer that moisturizes, protects, brightens and supports the skin barrier. It felt silky and melted smoothly into my skin. It didn't soak immediately into my skin, it took some smoothing - and once it was fully absorbed, it felt like there was a layer of protection on my skin - not tacky, per se, but definitely something there. It doesn't have a heavy scent or scent at all. My skin felt immediately moisturized, protected and dewy. I also received several comments from people telling me how good my skin looked and like I had been taking care of it (I had not - I only put on this moisturizer). So just based on that feedback, I'd give this a solid two thumbs up! They are also a local brand, support women-run co-ops when sourcing their oils and are making sustainability efforts in their packaging.

These AOR MNM-600 mg capsules help maintain NAD+ levels in the body by supporting NAD+ metabolism. NAD+ supports cellular health and energy and, unfortunately, declines as we age. So, I am taking these capsules in the hope that they will support healthy aging, energy and vitality. What that means for me is that I don't want to run out of steam trying to get all the things I need to get done in a day! There is research that supports its use in improving physical performance. I am honestly thrilled to see this as so many supplements don't offer science-backed evidence and just seem to go off vibes. As with any supplements, it is hard to isolate cause and effects and on the topic of aging, well, it does feel like it is a time will only tell scenario... However, I will say in my short time using this, that I have felt a little less fatigued while doing physical activity and generally running around (which I do a lot of).
These AOR MNM-600 mg capsules were any easy addition to my routine. You take one per day with or without food which meant I could easy add it to my existing vitamin schedule - which is also once a day in the mornings. The capsules are a regular size and are easy to swallow. There is no weird taste or after taste. I appreciate that they are made in Canada and although I do not follow a special diet, can appreciate that they are vegan-free, gluten-free and GMO-free. This means they can be used by a wide range of people who may have special dietary restrictions. There doesn't seem to be any side effects from taking them.
Overall, I think this is an easy thing to add to your current vitamin regimen to at the very least try and see if it makes a difference to you.

I attended several events last year which required me to have gel manicures and unfortunately I did not have them removed properly and my nail health has suffered as a result. Enter this L’Occitane Shea Nail & Cuticle Oil. Made with shea, apricot and almond oils to soften cuticles and promote healthy-looking nails. The formula is quick absorbing and has a light floral scent.
Best if all is it's container. It comes in a tube with a small brush that you use to brush on the nails and cuticles. The size of the brush allows for precise brushing directly onto the cuticles or under the nails if you have polish on. Or on the top of the nail if using on bare nails. It's small size and easy applicator means that I can use this on the go. I carry it with me and have used it while out, after washing my hands in public, even while waiting for the subway.
I only wish that it were somehow refillable as I can imagine going through this tube very quickly.
Overall, I like this product and am happy to be adding to my nail care arsenal.

Hatch Coffee Stardust: Starlight is a premium instant coffee from Hatch Coffee, a local, Canadian coffee company from Markham. Made from their Starlight beans which are a single origin, washed Ethiopian with a medium-light roast, it is vibrant, floral and bright with hints of stone fruit and citrus. Be sure to take the lid off your cup to take in the aromas!
The packets are pre-measured and for that reason, the perfect solution for on the go, camping, etc. There are directions in the back of each packet to make your coffee 3 ways: espresso, Americano and latte. As an espresso, it was a decent, strong cup and a good base for any drink you would want to make with with espresso (cappuccino, mocha, macchiato, espresso martini, etc). There is however, no crema which can really only be achieved with the use of an espresso machine. The suggested water and milk ratios for an Americano and latte made for a strong cup! I tested the Americano on a day I spent outdoors so I brought the suggested amount of hot water in a travel mug and added the packet while I was outside. It mixed beautifully even without a spoon or stir stick. It might have been a result of me drinking this very quickly (it was very cold outside that day), but I was super buzzed after this cup! So maybe save this for your mornings or study sessions and not for an after dinner drink with dessert! And the great thing about instant coffee is you can start with less water (or milk) and add to your preference (When at home and not out ice skating). It can also be mixed with cold water or milk for those who like iced lattes.
One package has four servings and currently sells for $15. They also sell these in a jar for a more economical and more customizable cup (and less waste if you're not planning on making your cups for while on the go).
Overall, I was impressed with the quality, convenience and versatility of this instant coffee. Being from a local, Canadian company is a big bonus! I'd recommend this smaller package as an introduction to the brand or their instant coffee offerings or as a gift to your favourite coffee lover/outdoor enthusiast.

DHM, along with key actives - L-Cysteine, Milk Thistle, and Prickly Pear - help your natural liver enzymes break down acetaldehyde - which is the toxin that alcohol turns into that contributes to you not feeling well the day after drinking.
Each package comes with 4 "pocket ready packets" and each packet contains 2 capsules.
The recommended dose and only instructions on the package reads as follows: One capsule one time per day. Take with water and do not take on an empty stomach. Their website however, instructs to take two capsules (one packet) after your first couple of drinks.

My honest review:
I honestly do think that I felt better than I would have had I not used this. I tested this at a house party so I had quite a bit to drink and got home late. The next morning , I didn't feel sick, have a headache or tummy issues which can sometimes occur after I've been drinking. I was mostly tired due to getting to bed late. This product can not replace sleep and water. Make sure you are still drinking water and hopefully getting some sleep!
I bought this online on the Walmart website and it came within a few days so you could potentially order on a Wed/Thur for a Saturday night. I tried to find it in store but it wasn't available in any stores in downtown Toronto (maybe people were prepping for the holidays?). When asking the pharmacist, they said that it should be available in the pharmacy section if it were available at your store.
Room for improvement:
The lack of instructions on the packaging was frustrating. Also, the packet information is wrong. The package says take 1 capsule yet there are 2 in each packet. And upon a further investigation, the website says to take 2. I expected information on when to take the capsules to be on the package and not have to go searching for it - which by the way, I just found now and not on the night I needed the information because it was hard to locate the information even with extensive searching.
The packaging seems excessive. I suppose because you are meant to take this while you are out, it makes sense that the two capsules are individually wrapped but it still seems like an awful waste. They also come in a larger size in a jar which seems a better solution long term.
Overall, I am happy with the results of this and very happy to have gotten a chance to try No Days Wasted DHM Blend!
