This Maybelline chubby pencil is a wonderful colour, and comes in a very unique format. I don't like how the pencil doesn't roll down completely, since the cap will nick the top of the pomade stick. For around $10 on sale, it is a great product to keep in your bag as a last-minute fix. The texture is quite soft, and it is extremely quick to apply. If I'm looking for some more volume and definition, I'll brush through my brows with the Benefit Gimme Brow. (Shade - Light Brown) -

think this is my favourite brow pencil from the drugstore. It works the best at mimicking real brow hairs, and the shade is great - dark enough when you build up colour, and pigmented so you don't need much. The Sephora Collection Retractable Brow Liner is also good but I'd sooner buy the Marcelle since I prefer this spoolie brush vs the plastic comb. I always keep this pencil in my Travel Makeup Bag (shade medium brown) -

This is good pencil, but it's just a touch too warm for my complexion. The main problem is the packaging. With two caps that look identical, one fits on the brush side and the other is a bit longer for the pencil side. If you mix them up, the brush cap will completely crush the pencil tip. It pisses me off so much because this pencil is expensive, so I tossed that brush cap to avoid the mistake. I'm now noticing that the tip of the pencil breaks very easily, and there is no way to see how much product is left since the pencil only rolls up, not down. Needless to say, I won't repurchase. I'd recommend the Marcelle Nano Eyebrow Liner - Medium Brown instead.

I bought this mascara on a whim when I was in Shoppers Drug Mart since it was on sale for $7.99. I've always wanted darker lashes, and this mascara claims to tint or dye your lashes darker within two weeks of consistent use. Upon first application, I found the packaging to be really cheap feeling. This isn't a problem- it's just unnecessary to have such a massive tube.
This mascara itself is very dark, and I find the brush to be very long - which isn't the easiest to work with. The product is super lengthening and not very volumizing or curling. It dries very fast and is pretty sticky, causing my lashes to clump up - especially with multiple coats. Usually if you get a spot of mascara on your eyelid, the best way to wipe it off is to wait until it has dried. If you wait even 10 seconds with this mascara before wiping it off, green dye will be left behind on your skin. The lash dye comes off rather quickly with soap and water, but on your eye area, that probably won't be so easy.
As I wore the mascara, I found it to be flaky and not good for building up length. My lashes didn't look super full and fluttery, and the dye caused some awkward smudging under my lower lash line at the end of a long day. In general, I could use a less-dark mascara than this super black one.
VERDICT: my lashes were not darker after 2 weeks. I use an oil makeup remover every night (L'Occitane Immortelle Remover Oil) and I only noticed that my under-eye area and lower lash line looked a bit darker than usual after washing it off. Not cute.
I do prefer this type of classic bristle brush to the rubber variety, but I don't prefer the straight cone shape of Volume Colourist. I find that a more hourglass shaped brush (or anything that shorter and more curved) fits my eye shape a lot better. I'd pass on Rimmel mascara and stick with Maybelline - their Flamed Out is my go-to!

The automatic light on this epilator really helps to identify where you might have lighter strands that tend to camouflage in a dim bathroom. The carry pouch is cute, the brush works well for cleaning, and the ice pack was a nice touch - though I don't use it. I like to epilate to remove outliers from waxing, and it is the only form of hair removal I use on my armpits. Make sure to pull your skin taut and take an Advil 20 mins before if you're prone to pain and redness. I love how this has two speeds, and it comes apart for relatively easy cleaning. I do see the benefits of a cordless device, because it would be a lot less messy to epilate in the shower. The pink wheelie picks are a useful feature to help decrease pain. -

Though the packaging is so smooth and sleek, appearance isn't everything. This lip balm is so fragrant, which means I'll only use a bit of it before bed. I'm very sensitive to the taste of sunscreen and floral fragrance, so I'm sad to say that this balm isn't a favourite. All things considered, the shea butter, beeswax, and macadamia oil formula is quite comfortable, proving to be non-greasy, non-sticky, and good for maintaining lip moisture overnight.

This body wash is great. Not only do I like the simple tube packaging, but the "no-soap" formula is a total winner for me. My skin is prone to breakouts and ingrown hairs, so this comforting and light wash foams up with minimal product, and gets the job done. It isn't drying and it leaves my skin feeling totally comfortable. I'd definitely consider repurchasing when it is on promotion at Shoppers.

This body lotion feels totally high-end. It is described as a "serum-milk for ideal skin quality, continuous hydration, harmonized skin tone, firmness and smoothness." The ingredient list includes Hyaluronic Acid to plump up dry skin, a variety of oils for nourishment, and LHA to refine pores.
I love the slight sheen that this moisturizer leaves on my skin, thanks to mother-of-pearl particles. The scent is also lovely, sort of powdery and floral-fresh. That light and silky texture is rich, and not liquidy, which is just perfect for my sensitive skin. I experience no dryness, oiliness or itchiness, so I keep reaching for the beautiful blush pink bottle. I completely agree with the description that says how this milky serum melts into the skin to be easily absorbed, while leaving a firmer and more even texture to your skin overtime. Big thumbs up from me!

I always apply a light layer of lip balm before the velvet matte pencils. I love how they are a lipstick/lip liner hybrid, combining the long-wearing matte finish of a liner with the smoothness of a lipstick. My favourite shade is A364 "Charred Cherry", and A366 "Berry Tales" comes in as a close second.
Pros:
Super wearable colours
Convenient and sleek packaging
Good pigmentation
No weird flavour
Wears off evenly
Cons:
Usually drying on easily chapped lips (I apply a lip balm before)
The tip does not retract all the way down, which causes a mess in the cap
The packaging may be deceiving since the colours are more neutral than expected

These "lip perfectors" have a total cult following. Earlier in 2015 they were on everyone's Instagram flat lay, and I was thrilled to find a mini size included in one of my gift-with-purchase sets. I can't say that this is my favourite balm/gloss from the brand, simply because it doesn't really nourish my lips as much as I'd like. The vanilla-y flavour is just OK, and the light pink tint doesn't do much for my lips. I might consider trying a darker shade in the future, but for now my go-to is the Gloss Prodige in 04 Candy.
