I've been buying these for years, they are hands-down my favourite brand and variety of oven fries! I usually use them to make a "healthy" poutine (or a healthier version)... simply make the fries as per instructions, place the fries in a bowl and top with shredded light mozzarella cheese and your favourite gravy (I like mushroom!). The crinkle cut works particularly well for this reason -- and the fries are nice and crispy on the outside but warm and fluffy on the inside -- perfect!
They're also good as an afternoon snack with a bit of sea salt and malt vinegar while reading a book. ;)

I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT FREE FROM CHICK ADVISOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!
I thought the packaging was kinda funny at first glance -- especially the sparkling diamond feet (is this the new beauty standard for women?? Twinkle toes?!) and the "New!" sticker in the upper corner (compared to what? Used?), yay! a non-used foot care product! All I kept thinking after that was "foot fungus" and that's just bad marketing. Flip the packaging upside down and the giggling gets worse! You ladies know what I mean, giggle away! It's funny!
I had never used an electronic foot file before so I was kind of hesitant. Would it hurt? Tickle? Burn? I assumed there would be dead skin fallout so I went outside for the big event. I had stopped my regular foot care routine for a few weeks in anticipation so I had a healthy buildup of dead skin for this. Not hobbit-level but a decent layer of dead skin. The instructions were easy to follow and understand (though teeny tiny print!! magnifying glass not included! though batteries were! yay!). Using the Amopé was super easy and it was quickly evident that it was working (dust everywhere! do this outside or over your bathtub!). I was impressed!
The file part was easy to pop out and wash and I wiped down the handle with a damp cloth and spritzed with alcohol and let it dry (former RN, germaphobe!). The instructions say to follow with their special pedi cream but that wasn't part of my review package so I didn't use it. I was happy with the results though!
Overall, I would say that this is a GREAT product to use as part of your OVERALL foot care routine -- but NOT in place of it. It will not magically turn your crusty ogre feet into pretty princess feet in one minute (nothing will!!). But you should be caring for your feet anyway, just like you take care of your teeth and hair and the rest of your body. So yes, it is a fantastic addition to your regular foot care routine -- especially during flip flop season when your feet might be a little rougher than usual. :)
I have a full product review (with photos) on my blog:

I received a lime green Clarisonic Mia 2 through the Chick Advisor Review Club. I had tried the original Clarisonic YEARS ago when they first came out but had a negative experience. The Clarisonic Mia 2 came with the unit, a charging cable, the Refreshing Gel cleanser and a "Gentle" brush head (white). From past experience I knew the gentle brush head was pretty harsh (I have extremely sensitive skin) but I gave it a try anyway and used the Refreshing Gel cleanser. This combination was WAY too harsh on my skin, felt super dry & tight after -- but no dead skin! The next day I purchased a "Delicate" brush head (blue) and tried again. Still too harsh. Instead of using it twice a day or even daily, over the past few weeks I realized I can only use it every other day. Also the Refreshing Gel cleanser would be better-suited to someone with oily skin as it can be very drying. I have extraordinarily sensitive skin but still get flakey patches, especially in the winter. I'm also prone to clogged pores (yay! makeup!). The Clarisonic Mia 2 does as it claims -- all the dead skin is gone and the makeup is completely gone. It was easy to use in the shower or at the sink. Just find a brush head, cleanser and frequency to suit your particular skin type/issue (everyone is different!). -

I don't drink milk for ethical reasons. I think I've tried every milk substitute out there -- everything from oat milk to rice milk, almond and all the soy options. By far my most favourite is the So Nice Unsweetened Organic soy milk! It doesn't have that gross aftertaste that other soy milks tend to have. It's not sickly sweet like some of the other brands. It's organic and non-GMO. Every morning I use it to make an iced latte & add a teensy bit of stevia. It's so perfect! Even my super-fussy boyfriend uses it on cereal everyday. It's to the point where I will go without if my store doesn't have this particular soy milk. I love it that much! -

We live in a large condo building with a 20-foot balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. They've been doing construction on the street below for months and the dust and dirt had piled up on the windows. I thought about buying a squeegee and a bucket and some soap but I'm short and have a neck/shoulder injury so looking up or reaching up for anything causes intense pain. I stumbled on the Windex Outdoor kit at Canadian Tire and I was skeptical but hopeful. Wow!! It was SUPER fast and easy! The kit comes with the extended handle you slide together and a sealed pad that is saturated with Windex solution (though it's dry and only becomes activated when wet). We don't have a hose on our balcony so used an old towel to wet the windows (tall boyfriend is a helper!). At first the pad wasn't "activating" so I dipped it in some water and that did the trick! Super easy and super fast to do all the windows. It does leave residual suds on the windows so you have to hose them off -- but we didn't have a hose so we just used an old towel dipped in water to "rinse" the windows. The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes and now we have super clean sparkling windows! I would definitely recommend and will purchase the replacement pads in the future!! Even better, the handle is super light-weight, the solution has no ammonia and is NOT tested on animals! Yay! -

My first Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam candle was purchased last winter -- I innocently went in to look around and came out with about $75 worth of stuff (how does that happen?!). I grabbed a bunch of mini candles to try out -- I didn't want to invest in the larger ones until I tried the minis because candle scents can be deceiving. To my surprise, my favourite one was Fresh Balsam! I bought several more of the large, 3-wick candles and burned them throughout my first year of grad school (I swear the scent helped me study!). Near the end of this summer my candle was sooo low and the store didn't have them in stock. I went back in mid-September and they had more Fresh Balsam candles!! I restocked my supply at home and now have a winter forest in my home from now through the spring! It's a very natural scent and not overpowering at all. It's fresh and crisp, I love it! -

I use this spray every night after applying serum. It's also excellent in the winter when in dry indoor areas make your skin burn. It's very refreshing and cool! They even make a mini one perfect for purse, locker, gym, etc.

Years ago I was on vacation and somehow lost my lip balm (gah!), I ran into the nearest drug store and all they had that didn't contain lanolin (I have a wicked allergy) was this NYC gloss (I'm referring to the one with the rollerball applicator). It's not only moisturizing but it's long-lasting, non-sticky, and super shiny. I wear it under ALL lipsticks and have been using it for years. I keep one next to my bed, on my makeup table, on my desk and in my bag. I have at least one backup in my cupboard. It's SO cheap! I just wish they had an unscented version because I feel like I'm 10 years old walking around with strawberry-scented lips! -

I have very sensitive skin that is prone to burns (wind, sun, products) and random rashes -- when I get really bad redness/patches the Avene Cicalfate cream is the ONLY thing that soothes and heals it quickly. It's gentle, you can use a thin layer under makeup or a thick layer at night. You can also use it on chapped hands. -
