I received the NIVEA 2-in-1 Moisturizing Primer for normal skin to review. This is a gel-type moisturizer that primes your skin for makeup. My initial reaction, upon opening, was the jar was small for the price. But, you do not need much product to evenly moisturize your face. While applying, the gel spread quite easily across my face and penetrated quickly. My face felt moisturized but not heavily saturated. I wear a light-weight foundation and this was a great primer for that. I really like this light-weight pre-makeup moisturizer and will recommend it to friends. -

I like the moisturizing properties of the Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Moisturizer, but I do not recommend it because it fails as a brightening & smoothing moisturizer, as advertised. It is not overly scented and is a nice light moisturizer for day time use. However, I saw no results or improvement in the brightening/smoothing of my skin. I would not recommend this product to anyone. -

I was really happy about receiving the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water to test. I love the convenience of facial wipes to remove make up and cleanse my face but I don't like the environmental impact so much. With the Micellar Water, I only need to use one small cotton pad and everything is gone. The product itself does not have too much of a scent and it does not leave your face feeling sticky or greasy. -

One thing I learned when I started testing this product was: a little goes a long way! I put on too much at first and found it felt heavy on my face. The next night, I tried less and instantly felt the difference. I noticed that my face was very soft. After continued use (with the serum) I noticed my face color was more even. No noticeable red areas. I have sensitive skin, and this was perfect! -

The only other cold sore healing product I used before this one was Lysine. From my experience with not using a product and/or using lysine, the polysporin cold sore healing patch worked. It healed the sore a lot faster than if I used nothing, and a bit faster than if I used Lysine. It did mask the sore some, but it was still noticeable. I would buy it again to speed up healing. -

GOSH Prime 'n Set Powder

I must say, I was intrigued to find out, if indeed, the Gosh prime 'n set powder would do double duty as it states. Of course, I was more hesitant that it would actually perform as a primer vs a finishing powder. I put on a light moisturizer before I put on the "primer". I think if my face was having a dry day, it might not have worked as well, but time will tell. The powder primer did seem to reduce my pores, which was something I was doubtful of :). I will say, at this point, it felt awkward to then put on a liquid foundation over a powder. It felt backwards. But, I put on my foundation, then used a little more of the prime 'n set to set and reduce shine. My makeup looked great. In summary, I think that if my skin is really dry, I might not go for the powder primer, but on my good days, I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I also wonder if this powder may look a bit washed out on darker skin tones. -

I blended it in lightly with my fingertips. It took on a nice powdery look. Not wet and sloppy like I've experienced from others in the past. I find the sample I received had nice pigmentation. I will buy this again. -
