This lipstick has a great texture and an interesting package (it’s basically a screw lip pen that you turn to make longer, but there’s also some “shaper” tool that I haven’t really figured out how to use). It didn’t smudge and it stayed for a decent amount of time. The only thing is that it came off quite quickly when eating, but that’s totally normal in lipstick I’ve used! -

As I have super flat, thin, long lashes, I was super excited to try this out. The colour and consistency is great, and it lengthened my lashes a lot, but I didn’t find it really volumized (as you can see) 🥺 I probably wouldn’t pay for it... +

I probably wouldn’t pay for it, but anyone with shorter lashes should give it a try! 😊

Although I never took the plunge to spend the extra $5 or so over other brands like Dove or Pantene, I am so glad I did. First of all, this doesn't leave as much "film" on top of my hair that grosses me out as I touch it. Also, it actually lasts for my thin, lifeless hair! It smells delicious and doesn't leave white stains in your hair. This helps me to last 3+ days between washes. Holy grail of dry shampoos, and definitely worth the extra cash! I get mine from Winners/Marshalls for a better price than from other stores, and in a bigger size. -

This product is good for putting on your skin before applying foundation for a "lit from within" glow, mixing in with foundation to get a similar effect, or just wearing it alone for a more "blinding" glow on the natural complexion. But, the nature of this liquid highlighter causes it to (no matter what or how you apply it) create patches in your foundation when applied over top. So, to avoid messing up my makeup, I use this product over my face first, apply foundation, and then I apply powder highlight in a similar shade over top for a really "glowy" look. But, if you're looking for a glow, you're going to get it with this product. Be careful not to use too much or you'll look like a smurf - there's a reason the dropper holds so little product! -

This product has provided for me in times that I needed some coverage but didn't want to go all-out and apply foundation. That being said, I am very fair and red-undertoned, with a lot of acne around the time of my period. I didn't find this any more effective at eliminating redness than any other product (i.e. most of my foundations or concealers). Additionally, the shade range is terrible (3 light-medium shades in different undertones), and even as a very pale person, I couldn't find my shade! I ended up settling for the lightest one, which said "porcelain" but was clearly much darker. This provides a fair amount of coverage and a nice, demi-matte finish, but there are much better (and cheaper/more valuable) alternatives. At $43 CAD, this is crazy expensive for something that provides so little, and you could probably find something similarly effective at a drugstore. Some recommendations on my behalf that are similar, but better value, would be the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer or NYX Total Control Drop Foundation (only about $10!). -

I have tried every setting spray out there - KVD, NYX, MUFE, you name it and I've tried it. But, this spray was different. It didn't cause my foundation to separate on my skin, and helped stop my sweating from damaging the quality of my makeup during the day (especially in the summer!). Also, I found that spraying it before I apply foundation as a primer was a lot better than any silicone-based primers, and doesn't break me out as silicone-based ones tend to. I love both the plain Fix+, as well as the Goldlite one (with gold sparkles) even though I am very fair with cool and red undertones. I like the former for a more "matte", longwearing look, and the Goldlite for "dewier" or not as longwearing looks. -

A container of this powder is about $20 CAD from an online store. That is crazy valuable, as you'd often need to buy 2 containers of high-end powder to get this amount, which usually go for $35+ each, depending what you like. I found this powder... +

I found this powder suitable for myself, as I am super pale, but someone darker may not like it as much. If you use too much, foundation can separate and even turn white, as well as get an indescribable texture. I found that I needed to avoid applying this to places with hair, such as my upper lip and jaw/cheek peach fuzz because it would cling and turn white/patchy. When I figured out how this would work best for me and altered the way I applied it, it worked great. But, as I said before, this would not be great for someone any darker than a light-medium skin tone, and especially for those with lots of hair or people who don't like a "cakey" look, as that's especially hard to avoid with this product.
