I have been using herbal essences hairspray for years. It holds your look but can sometimes get flakey. In a slick back pony if you touch your hair alot you may need to occasionally wet your hands to reset/get rid of flakes.

I love to get it on sale as some stores have it for quite a high price for the small size bottle. If bathing every day and using a smaller amount it lasts about a month in the small/regular size. -
