What is Joico K-PAK Colour Therapy Restorative Styling Oil?
This is a blend of healthy hair oils, including argan oil, manketti oil, arginine and unique peptides that promises to prolong hair colour, strengthen, protect and repair hair, infuse hair with shine, make hair soft and smooth, and reduce drying and styling time. It also claims to reduce breakage of hair after just one use. It can be used on wet or dry hair.
What I Love about This product:
I love this oil because it makes my hair soft and shiny and even makes it feel thicker, without making it look oily or greasy. It is nice and light and therefore doesn't weigh your hair down. You only need a tiny bit of oil to cover your whole head , so one bottle lasts a long time. It also smells very nice.
What I Dislike About This Product:
It is quite expensive at 18$/ 100 mL. But if you compare it to moroccanoil, which runs about 39$/ 100mL, it is much more affordable. I have not noticed that it prolongs my hair colour or reduces breakage, as the company claims.
The Bottom Line:
This product does most of what it claims to do and far exceeds the expectations that I had for it. I have tried both this and moroccanoil and I prefer the Joico K-PAK restorative oil. Since I started using this oil, so many people have commented on how shiny and healthy my hair looks. The way it makes my hair feel is definitely worth the money and it has become a staple in my hair care routine.

What is Clinique High Impact Mascara?
This mascara from Clinique promises to both volumize and lengthen lashes and provide a pure and deep colour.
Quality of the mascara:
Appearance: This mascara does exactly what it claims to do. It separates your lashes, as well as lengthens and volumizes them with just one coat without making them appear clumpy.
Staying power: It is a long lasting mascara. For me, it lasts from 6am to 10pm without flaking or smudging underneath my eyes. It is not waterproof, so it is easy to get off at night with just a little makeup remover.
Would I repurchase it? Yes.

The NYC Sunny bronzer is a matte bronzer. Lots of people have compared this bronzer to Benefit's hoola, but I actually like this bronzer better than hoola because it is not quite as dark (I am very fair skinned). I love this bronzer because it looks very natural and does not make your face look muddy or orange. It can really give you that naturally tanned look. The fact that it has no shimmer in it makes it great for contouring. It can really emphasize your cheek bones and define your face. It is not the most pigmented bronzer ever, so I would certainly recommend it for fair skinned people, but not for those with darker skin because it probably wouldn't show up.
The Bottom Line: I think that the NYC Sunny bronzer is a great value for the price you are paying. It does a great job at contouring your face and defining your features. It is a product that I would recommend to anyone and something I can see myself repurchasing again and again in the future.

What is Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm?
This is a dual-ended lip product. One end has a marker-like applicator that provides your lips with a lasting colour and the other end has a lip balm for moisturizing. It comes in a variety of shades. The colour I will be reviewing today is called passion, which is a bright pink colour.
Quality of the lipstain:
Passion is a bright pink colour that is great for summer. It lasts for a pretty long time, albeit not as long as I had expected. In a typical 8 hour work day (730 am to 330 pm for me), I find the colour has faded by lunchtime. However, if you compare it with how long your typical lip stick or lip gloss lasts, that's pretty good staying power. As an added, bonus it smells great (just like blue freezes)! It can be a bit drying on your lips, so it's really nice that revlon provided a lip balm on the other end. As for the lip balm, which is unscented, it's not the best lip balm I have ever used, but it does the trick and is convenient, as you don't have to carry a separate product with you. Compared to other lip stains like the cover girl outlast, I would say that the Justbitten stain comes out on top. Definitely a product I would repurchase.

What is the Urban Decay Naked Palette?
For those of you who don't know, the urban decay naked palette is a set of 12 neutral toned eyeshadows. The set includes both matte and shimmery shades. It also comes with a mini urban decay primer potion and an urban decay eyeshadow brush. It retails for 58$ Canadian at Sephora.com.
Quality of the Naked Palette Shadows:
Pigmentation: All of the naked palette shadows have excellent pigmentation, with the exception of creep (second from left in swatch seen above), which is quite sheer for a black eyeshadow, but it is possible to build up the colour to obtain a deeper shade of black if desired.
Staying Power: On their own, the shadows in the naked palette have decent staying power, but I have noticed that they begin to crease after about 5-6 hours wear. However, when used in conjunction with the Urban Decay Primer Potion (or any other primer, i'm sure) that comes with the palette, these shadows appear more vibrant and literally last ALL day long. Just to give an indication, I generally do my makeup before work every morning at about 6 AM and take my makeup off between 9 and 11 PM on average. When I've used the primer potion, these shadows are still just as vibrant as when I put them on and there is no visible creasing.
What I love most about the naked palette:
I love the convenience of the naked palette: I'm a girl who tends to be very neutral with my makeup, so the naked palette gives me literally ever shadow colour I would ever used in one compact palette.
I love the diversity of the naked palette: the combination of matte and shimmery, light and dark colours allows you to create SO many different looks with this one palette. You can create looks that are very natural for work or school, but if you wanted to create a more dramatic eye or a smoky eye for a date or a night out, there are shadows that you can use for that.
My favourite shadows in the naked palette are: Virgin (as an inner corner/ brow bone highlight), Sin (amazing all over lid colour) and Half- Baked (works very nicely in crease and outer corners, also looks very nice as an all over lid colour on darker skin tones).
What I love least about the naked palette:
Packaging: the felt/ velvet material attracts dust and hair very easily and can be difficult to keep clean.
Availability: this palette is very pricey and can also be quite difficult to find, especially since there aren't sephoras everywhere in canada.
The Bottom Line:
For me, the pros of the naked palette far outweigh the cons. It is something that I have used every day since I bought it, and for me, it was completely worth the splurge.
*Just a quick note, in the photo above, the shadows are not swatched with a primer. Used with a primer, they actually appear more vibrant.
