♡ FERRERO ROCHER® chocolate squares
We’ve been really lucky to get to review some nice products on the side over the past couple of months. And who can turn down an opportunity to talk about chocolate. Because really, who doesn’t like chocolate?
We’re always gifted boxes and BOXES (….multiple boxes) of the original Ferrero Rocher chocolates at Christmas. But to see something new from them individually packaged which really makes it feel like a premium product.
Each piece combines fine and carefully sourced ingredients into delightful, delicious layers featuring a refined chocolate shell that envelops a creamy filling with roasted hazelnuts and crunchy crisps. Just imagine, the regular ball-form Ferrero Rocher assorted in milk hazelnut, dark hazelnut, and white hazelnut chocolate squares. My favorite is definitely the dark hazelnut chocolate. :)

We’re definitely the ‘cooking and baking from scratch’ type of people. So when we get stuff to review that we get to make, it’s always a fun time.
I’ve only made pizza from scratch a couple of times, but I’ve never had a pizza using whole wheat flour. We’ve made bread before that’s whole wheat, but in all honestly. If you’re not going for the whole healthy eating, whole wheat should never be an option, especially for something like a pizza.
While I’m at it, would be a nice thing to say, if you’re into buying local, and buying Canadian, that this product from Sixteen Grains is Canadian-produced, made from farm-fresh ingredients. Sixteen Grains is headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
It’s quite easy to make following the instruction on the back of the bag, and adding our custom toppings on the top of the pizza. I think overall, it took me about 30 minutes to make the pizza from prep to finished and ready for eating.
The final product, taste-wise was not exactly a win for the family. It wasn’t a crowd pleaser unfortunately. My husband and daughter had a hard time getting the pizza down. It was quite dry - which should’ve been expected as it’s pretty typical of any type of thing made with whole wheat, or at least it’s consistent with every other bread we’ve made with whole wheat substitute.
But if you’re looking for an alternative to regular flour, (and not gluten-free) this is definitely an option. It just wouldn’t be the first thing I grab down the aisle at the supermarket.

It’s not supposed to have a fishy aftertaste or stomach discomfort. What I thought was really cool was that it was packaged in Guelph, Ontario - and I went to university in Guelph, so seeing that was pretty exciting. Sold in Health Food stores in Canada and Health food online retailers. -

This works like any other pain relief cream - but if the Canadian-made aspect attracts you - I’m glad it’s now on your radar. Sold on Amazon.ca, Exzellshop.com and local pharmacies. -

Personally, I’m a chocolate fiend. And I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to try it and review it. Honestly speaking, was curious to know if the chocolate was actually caffeinated. Truthfully, I ate 3 of the chocolates and didn’t feel any different. The pack says each chocolate equates to 1/2 cup of coffee. I could not see the difference not did I feel like it made me feel anymore awake than before.
I also, as a note, rarely affected by caffeine so I might not be the best subject to talk about results. But if the caffeine were not part of the equation, the chocolate in fact does taste like regular milk chocolate and I probably would’ve bought milk chocolate from a less expensive brand.

Honestly, I had never heard of this brand before I was gifted this from Mustela and Butterly. I had not idea even what Baby Cleansing Water was meant for. But it's such a handy addition to the home when you don't have the time ultimately for a full-on bath, but need to wash the baby. With no need to rinse, and it leaves the skin soft and with no sticky or greasy residue, it's perfect!

Honestly, I had never heard of this brand until I was gifted this from Butterly and Mustela. But my friend who recently had a newborn was very excited about it. This baby lotion felt great on baby's skin and doesn't leave any of the nasty greasy residue of some lotions. There's a light avocado scent, which I could see people loving or hating. But it's a very light smell.

We were kind of intrigued when it arrived, as even with just pressing the on/off switch turned on an extremely bright light. My 2-yr old daughter thought it was fun to play with. It is super convenient and portable, as she started carrying it around the house.
It is very versatile as it has a flexible head and can adjust to any desired position. It can provide optimal illumination to all those nook and crannies. There’s also a strong magnetic base that ensures durability when attached to metal surfaces. I was kind of surprised how useful it was within the first few days of getting it. I even used it just for cleaning out a coffee grinder, rather than with the car.
Even if you just need a nice alternative for a light portable flashlight, this honestly does the job. Just have to keep in mind it does require the use of 4 AAA batteries, which may or may not be a plus for most people, as I know a lot of people are moving away from batteries and to rechargeable products.

I’m an avid coffee drinker and drink at minimum one cup of coffee a day. This time, I was super excited to have the opportunity to try this decaf cold brew from Hatch, made locally in Markham, Ontario, Canada. So, if you’re into the “shop local, shop Canadian” - here’s a new coffee brand I’d like to suggest to you. As a note: I usually don’t feel any effects of caffeine, and I’m truly a coffee drinker solely on flavour.
The Hatch Coffee Decaf Cold Brew comes straight from an 8oz can. Brewed with Ethiopian beans and nitro-infused, it’s all the taste of craft coffee without the caffeine keeping you up.
You can have this chilled or warm apparently. I decided to have this cold and with a bit of milk and it’s great - like, gave me Kona coffee vibes like when I was in Honolulu. Nice and smooth, rich and velvety.
