I received the “sassy” 3-in-1 mini power palette complimentary for testing purposes and if you are starting out with makeup this is a good basic set. The eyeshadow powder is a nice texture, it’s buildable and doesn’t crease throughout the day. I used one of my favourite eyeshadow primers on one eye and nothing on the other to put this eyeshadow to the test, and it stood up! They both were creaseless by the end of the day. The highlighter in the set is a lovely light caramel look... it’s a thicker powder than the eyeshadow, but still looks great highlight (not preferred) or eyeshadow shade (which I enjoyed more). The lip and cheek topper was a complete miss for me - it was white and creamy and made me look ill because it was so white, it went into my lip creases and pores in the worst looking way. -

I have claimed The Ordinary's plant derived sqalane as a must-have item. I love massaging it into my skin and using a cold face roller to massage it in more! It really leaves my skin feeling hydrated without a super oily look or feeling. I have also used it by putting a few drops into my hands and massaging into the ends of my hair, I think it helps keep my hair soft but cannot say for certain. -

Thank you to chickadvisor for allowing me to try this product free, I will be rebuying in the future and having my friends and family try as well! Opening the package I was surprised to see it was pink, I thought clay would be gray but I was pleasantly surprised. It was smooth and soft applying to my skin, without any or at least a very light smell. You apply it onto dry skin, and It starts to harden to your skin after about 10 minutes. It looks and feels like other clay face masks, but surprisingly light feeling on my skin. Washing off the mask is always the hardest part with any face mask, this was relatively easy but still look a while to remove. Left my skin feeling soft and glowy. Looking forward to rebuying! -

I want to start off by thanking chickadvisor for sending me this product free to try. Unfortunately I do not really enjoy face cleansers that are cream, they just have a weird consistency to me. I liked that it was pink like their other products, there wasn’t a strong smell but a light one. I mixed with a bit of water on my skins surface and the foaming got activated, the more you massage the more bubbles. It didn’t feel like it was doing anything particularly. It was okay, the thing i dislike about cream is it feels so slimy on my skin and hands, then leaves my skin feeling dry. So for that reason I wouldn’t buy again. However, I do love most Neutrogena products and if a friend or family member who enjoyed cream face cleansers was looking for one I would recommend and give them my experience to let them decide. I am a lover of their pink grapefruit gel cleanser and will continue to use that. -

I received the Neutrogena pink peel off mask from chick advisor for free to try. I followed the instructions on the package, washing my face first and applying the mask. I let the mask dry for about 15 minutes since I applied it kind of thick, it made my skin feel tight but I enjoyed it. It didn’t really feel like anything was happening to my skin while the mask was on, but when it came time to peeling it off that was fun and painful. I should have been better with keeping away from my hair, because it will rip it out as you peel the mask off. The residue washed off easily. The next few days my skin seemed to get a bit worse, in terms of acne but it did feel very smooth which I would credit to the mask. In terms of effectiveness I’m not sure how effective it is in preventing since I got more acne, but the smoothness after was nice. The smell of the mask, while it was on was pleasant, nothing overpowering. It’s pink which is a little scary when peeling off but overall fun and cute! I would recommend to a friend or family member looking to try an affordable peel off mask. I will be trying again, to see if it was an off week for my skin! -

As soon as it touches your face you can feel the 3 in 1 effects! It is smooth line a mask and hardens the longer you leave it on for. The scrub is great, very gentle but also feel effective. The smell is a little strong, but I enjoyed it...like floral cucumber. It’s a light blue colour, great consistency. And the cleanser aspect is also lovely, relatively easy to remove, but most masks are a bit of a struggle. I would recommend to friends and family! I tried it with my fiancé, he enjoyed it and he usually doesn’t enjoy face masks. I will recommend to everyone and so will he! I really enjoyed the Vichy dandruff shampoo! I would definitely recommend to friends and family. The overall effectiveness was great when done correctly. The first time i used it I didn’t see any immediate results but scrubbed quickly and didn’t wait the 2 minutes like the bottle recommends. The consistency of the shampoo was very smooth, I enjoyed washing my hair with it but the smell wasn’t great. I couldn’t initially smell anything, when held close it has that medicated smell. It left my hair basically odourless, or at least my conditioner covered up. The bottle is lovely, the packaging very nice, when I took the cap off and saw the shampoo was orange I wasn’t expecting it. I will definitely be rebuying this product due to how effective it was!

I live in a smaller town so finding Ben and Jerry’s Non-Dairy ice-cream was a bit of a task. I drove to another town and was pleased to find it at Loblaws, even more happy that I had the coupon to try it free since it is a little on the pricy side, in the future I will only purchase when it is on sale. I tried Ben and Jerry’s Non Dairy Coconut Almond Fudge Chip and IT IS AMAZING. The drive around was well worth it, not only is it dairy free which is great since I am slightly lactose intolerant, but also great for vegans. The consistency is exactly like “normal” ice-cream, so creamy and delicious, this should replace all dairy! The flavour is my new favourite ice-cream. I recommend to everyone! My whole family was begging for a spoonful once I told them how spectacular it was. The flavour combination is something you don’t find on the market, I love coconut but I also love chocolate chip which this is the best of all worlds! I am so glad I got to try and review this, I can't wait to purchase my next bucket of heaven. -

I received the TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist™ Hair Spray for free from TRESemmé. I use TRESemmé heat protectant spray as well as their flawless curls mousse so I was very excited to try out this new product. I used it on the daily to help keep my baby hairs maintained, as well as using it when I would curl my hair to keep my curls long lasting! I received level 2 hold which did its job but I may use a stronger hold as the baby hairs didn’t stay down all day. When used to hold my curls in place it did a wonderful job!
The smell of this product is pleasant, I got compliments on my hair smelling “clean”. TRESemmé always has yummy fresh smelling products. Although, I didn’t notice any long-lasting scent which is good for me because I like my perfume to be my focal smell.
The texture of this product is very light, it doesn’t leave a crunchy feeling in your hair like some other hair sprays, nor does it leave it looking too shiny or greasy.
I’m not sure of the price of this product since I received it for free but the canister has lasted a long time… I have a ton of hair so I used a lot of product especially since I got it in the mail to make sure I could do an honest review. A week of daily use it still has a ton of product left which leads me to believe it will be well worth it!
When I straighten or curl my hair and use this product I have been receiving compliments in which I tell people they must try the product! I would recommend to any friend or family member searching for a hair spray that will help their style last and leave their hair smelling good without the crunch!
