What I love about the L’Oreal EverSleek Morroco oil is the sweet honey-like scent it leaves on my hair throughout the day. I use it to smooth out my dry, brittle ends and flatten frizz. It leaves a nice shine but I find that you have to be consistent, avoiding the roots when applying or else it clumps hair strands and looks greasy. Only 2 pumps is needed as suggested on the label, on damp hair, brush and you’re good to go. It does have an oily feel at first but dissolves into my hair quickly. Also, if you’re outside in the sun a lot, it doesn't have long lasting heat control but overall this is a very useful product especially in the spring and for fixing up fried hair! -

Kraft has taken peanut butter to a-whole-nother level and I am satisfied to have tried the Cinnamon Raisin Granola, one of four new peanut butter flavors on the shelf. It has the same whipped peanut buttery taste, with added granola chunks and raisins. There is a hint of cinnamon scent but I don’t notice as much in taste. I think the flavor is fun; it is both creamy and crunchy in texture and enhances your food nicely. I eat this with milky bread, yogurt, baked goods, even tastes delicious in fruit smoothies, or by itself as a snack. It conveniently has all my favourite ingredients mixed in one. I find that it can be filling because it is thick - I ran out of groceries one day and all I had was a 500g jar of this peanut butter. I ate spoonfuls of it to the point it filled me up good. I never really got into peanut butter, but if you're a fan of granola, you will enjoy this! It’s around $3 at your local grocery store. -

I was recommended Pure Simple spa through Ali. I've never treated myself to a facial before and I'm very happy I got the chance to at the Eglinton location because their service was amazing! Their products were wonderfully light-scented and 100% organic. I have sensitive skin and tend to break out easily; the only facial wash that won't irritate my skin is Neutrogena Foaming Cleanser or Olay Milky Fair (which is exclusively available in Asia - sadly). At first, I wasn't completely convinced by their cleansing milk but the staffs said it will work for my skin so I decided to try the travel size 50ml bottle for $13.95. The smell is something herbal and milky; the formula is thin and runny and I made the mistake of dumping a handful the first time, but a little goes a long way. The results were pleasing though, I just rub it over my face and it literally melted on my skin removing dirt and tough makeup. The texture is so soft and creamy it left my face moisturized after rinsing. In addition, after several weeks trying this product, I noticed no break outs and my face looked fresh and even. It cleared a few of my blemishes as well. I loved it so much, I went back and got the 200ml bottle for $40. Amazing skincare product, good investment! -

Smooth, clean, glide-on application. Doesn't smudge unless you rub against it. Long-lasting and waterproof as claimed on the package. You can create thin or thick lines with the brush applicator depending on pressure and angle. The bottle design is a clever idea. What I do love about this product is the formula - it's not runny like the NYC liquid eyeliner and I still achieve the same bold look with a soft edge effect. This is my first time using a gel liner and I will definitely be purchasing again! -

Painless, easy to use, great travel size tool. The trimmer has a detachable tip that can be washed/rinsed clean. I use this around my lip area, trimming brows and nose hairs. At first use, it tugged a bit on my facial hairs but after several experience with this product, it proved to be safe, gentle on the skin, and cuts hair evenly. What I like most about it is the no mess, the discrete packaging and it is convenient and easy to carry.

For $20 at Anthropologie, not only does this hand cream come in a cute packaging but it goes a long way. I use this on my hands as they occasionally get dry and rough. Only a nickel size is needed for a long lasting coverage. The scent is amazing! I picked this product up in "Cleopatra" which has a sweet grapefruit and cucumber smell. Highly recommend trying this, great for gifting as well! -

Finally a foundation that is lightweight, high-pigment, and matches my skin perfectly. If I were to compare this to Makeup Forever HD foundation, Kat Von D provides amazing full coverage (it's meant to cover tattoos) I have strange breakouts around my cheeks and a few scars and discoloration around my face and it conceals it and gives me a consistently smooth, matte finish all around. It's not very oily as well and doesn't have fragrance which I like about it. The shade does come out as tad lighter but once applied it works to blend in with my skin tone. I only need to use less than a penny size and it will last all day. The packaging is similar to Makeup Forever HD foundation. It has a pump- the only thing I wish it came with is a cap because the little plastic cover is a nuisance to take off and place back on. All in all, for 41 CAD- its totally worth it! -
