This is the first eye cream I used that actually felt super rich and hydrating. It helps with dehydration and subsequent fine lines and sagging. The first few times I used this eye cream, I was shocked at how much more awake my eyes looked. It also has some pearlescence, so it reflects light flatteringly around your eyes. I can’t use heavy creams on my face, but my eye area needed more hydration, and this product has been fulfilling that need for years. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t absorb immediately- a plus for long term hydration and effectiveness, but not ideal for immediately following with make up. Because of this, I’ve switched from covering the eye area morning and night to only at night in order to avoid greasy lids/sliding make up. If you wash your face and apply skincare at least an hour before doing makeup, though, it’s not as much of an issue. When I (most often) don’t have time for that delay, I will still dot some along the ocular bone only under my eye so the skin absorbs the moisture without effecting my eye makeup. -

I was perusing Korean skincare, looking for an essence or serum to add to my regimen for increased moisture and anti-aging benefits without causing me to breakout. Because I still breakout in my 30s, the sales associate recommended the innisfree soybean energy essence as a lighter option that would be less likely to clog my pores. My skin has been dehydrated in the winter, and is beginning to sag and wrinkle a bit. I can’t use heavier creams on my sensitive acne-prone skin, so layering a thinner product under my moisturizer has been really helpful. My skin has been brighter, smoother, and more hydrated since I started using this product, and I’ve replaced the bottle twice. I can’t imagine not using it now; it’s a necessity for my skincare! It hydrates, plumps, and brightens without causing congestion, so the skin on my face feels somewhat lighter (less like it’s pulling down) and it has actually reduced the number of breakouts I have, I guess because my skin is more balanced? Bonus, it really helps make up go on more smoothly since it prevents flaking and lines caused by dehydration. It ends up costing about $45 a bottle, which might be out of some people’s price range for a step to go under your moisturizer, but I believe it’s my most important addition to my skin care in years! -
