I recently used the Drydex Dry Time Indicator Spackling for a small home repair project, and I must say I’m impressed with how easy it made patching up holes in the wall. The standout feature for me was the dry time indicator—this product changes from pink to white as it dries, which eliminates the guesswork and ensures I don’t overwork it or apply a second coat too soon.
The spackling itself spreads smoothly and fills holes well, and it dries relatively quickly. For smaller cracks and holes, a single application was sufficient. It sands down nicely, leaving a smooth finish that blends well with the surrounding wall.
The kit includes everything you need: a decent-sized container of the spackling and a small putty knife. The consistency is thick enough to stay in place without dripping, but not so heavy that it’s hard to spread evenly.
One minor drawback is that it can be a bit tricky to get a completely perfect finish on larger holes without needing additional sanding or a second application. But overall, I found it easy to use and perfect for touch-ups and smaller repairs.
