A family friend gave us one to try and I was simply amazed at how well it did. We recently moved into a new apartment and trying to keep everything in brand new condition is hard. This magic eraser definitely helps. Scuff marks won't go away? No problem! Dirty fingerprints on your door? No problem! I think everyone should have one around the house. -

For some reason my skin always gets really dry when the weather starts to change. My lips took center stage this season. Usually, I can put on any plain Jane chapstick and call it a day.
But two months ago, I got sick. My lips were so dry and cracked. Everything that I tried to put on them just seemed to irritate them more. I finally remembered Carmex and rushed to the store to buy some. I got instant relief the moment I applied it to my lips. Now, I make sure I always have Carmex around.

My best friend got married a month and half ago and asked me to be her maid of honor. I didn't realize what my job would be in saying yes. And for some reason, I never thought about makeup. I watch makeup tutorials on YouTube. And at the time, the sad amount of "makeup" I had consisted of an eyeliner pencil I used for both my brows and eyes and some blush.
But that's when e.l.f came to say the day. Before the hair and makeup rehearsal, I went to Walmart and loaded up on e.l.f products. And I have to say that I really like this foundation. I bought mine in Dark/Deep and I was really surprised that it matched my skin tone perfectly. It describes itself as a sheer tint on the packaging. And coming from a woman who went from wearing no makeup at all, I have to say I like it. It doesn't feel cakey to wear and it lasted the duration of the wedding and reception.

I am a black woman with quite thick kinky-curly hair. I went natural a few years ago and I'm always on the hunt for products that can do my hair justice. In a YouTube video I was watching the lady used this conditioner on her hair. So the next visit to Walmart I picked some up.
I have to say, at first I was unbelieving. I hadn't used the product yet. But I couldn't visualize this cheap product working, yet alone deep conditioning my hair. Let me tell you, I am here to eat my words. I will never use another conditioner if I have to. It's simply that amazing. Everyone in the world should try it at least once.

I have oily-combination skin on my face. And that seems like a simple term, but for me it's quite complex. My forehead and the area around my nose try to compete with the sun to see who can shine the most. While my chin and cheeks dry out in the desert.
I've found that using the St. Ives facial scrub kind of sets me back at one. My skin is not too dry and not too oily. But I will only use it twice a week at most. If I try and use it more than that I find that it irritates my skin. And it causes me to get bumps that develop into pimples.
I truly enjoy this scrub and I've been using it for years. But I think each individual has to figure how to use it to make it work best for them.

Can I be honest with you all? I knew this was going to be the first product I reviewed for a #fri-yay when I was coming up with the idea for a blog. How did you know that you may be thinking? Because in all honesty, I felt like a dog who had been victimized by the sound of a dog whistle for an hour when I smelled it. And in using that metaphor, I’m not being mean. I’ll give you some background information about my medical history without breaking my anonymity. I suffer from various types of migraines, Occipital Neuralgia, and allergies. That being said (typed) there are some smells that will trigger an episode and I’m down for the count.
Now, along with most of the human population, I like my bathroom and apartment to smell nice. At one of our weekly Walmart visits, my mom and I (yes I live with my mom, like some millennials.) picked up Febreze Air Meadows & Rain. It came in a 2 count for $4.94 according to my Walmart receipt. Now I have to say, with most Febreze products, I know its tried and true. But ya’ll this smell. In my head, I could see Oscar the Grouch looking at me saying, “NO”
And I think the problem was that the Meadow was competing with the Rain. Or the Meadow said, “Enough Rain! You’re drowning me!” Or maybe it was raining on a meadow filled with trash? Either way, the smell just didn’t work for me. But we didn’t throw them away because that would be a waste. We put them in the downstairs bathrooms of our apartment building for whoever to enjoy.
What’s the lesson of this story? Try to sample or smell products before you buy.
I rate this product 1/5 because I like Febreze.
