It was ok. The food was much better than variety diets which were all seeds and fruit but little kibble. It's all kibble to deter picking and choosing. It did have herring meal as a protein listed but I just felt that my rats weren't as active or as happy on this food as they were on Oxbow. -

I switched over my rat food from the Martin brand to Oxbow because of the higher quality ingredients and the carefully detailed back panel on the bag which showed a lot of care for their food. After switching I noticed they had more energy, they didn't smell as bad and their coat quality improved. Oxbow still has a good animal protein meal in it as well as no fatty seeds to promote selectivity. All the kibble is the same so there's no picking and choosing. -

I used this with my rats when they were having a problem with looser stool. They virtually rolled around in it as much as they ate it. The can was really big do I do wish they'd make smaller cans, but I made it work but freezing the rest of the pumpkin in an ice cube tray and just defrosted a cube whenever I wanted to give them some. I loved that the pumpkin was 100% organic and safe to eat for any animal. And it did fix the loose stool problem. -

I fed this to my rats as a treat as well as my kittens. The texture is very stew like and you can actually see some of the ingredients right in front of your eyes. Th rats liked that they could actually pick up and eat whole peas out of the food. Although some cats who are particularly picky might not like the odd pea rolling about in their dish, none of my animals had any issues. My giving them Performatrin I know my animals are getting all Canadian made food of good quality ingredients. -

She loves this turkey stew however and its a great way to get water in to her when shes iffy about drinking in a strange place. I was interested in the Wild Calling! line of wet foods, so I decided to get a can of the rabbit formula. I didn't have any particular feelings about it. It was a decent pate, but I'm iffy about foods that brag about having a high percent of the food be a single protein. Mostly these foods regardless of being AAFCO approved, I don't normally feel are ideal for independent feeding on it. As an occasional supplement in their diet I have no problems whatsoever thought.
The cat really seemed to like it, I liked that the brand name was decent and their design is fantastic. The price was a bit much but could easily be understood by how much such a semi-exotic meat such as rabbit costs. Overall I quite liked it but the price may keep me away from purchasing in the future.
