So far, I'm really diggin this mascara. The make up items in my drawers are a pretty wide range of price, I'm not someone who picks up crappy products just because I'm poor, but I'm also not someone who goes all out and buys expensive stuff just because it's expensive so therefore it should be a good product. One thing that I absolutely refuse to spend more than $10 on is mascara. I have pretty long lashes that aren't thicker than a forrest but they aren't thin either, so I go through a pretty decent amount of it. And for a product you are supposed to replace every three-ish months I really just can not justify spending $25 on a tube...that's over $100 a year on mascara alone! No frickin way. So after all that, the point I'm trying to make is that I'm on a pretty constant search for the best of the drug store mascara's because I feel that there are a wide array of decent products out there that you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for. I rarely have used the same type twice, because I'm definitely a person who keeps searching for something bigger and better if I'm not 100% satisfied. I really enjoy this mascara so far. It's my first tube that I've ever tried of this particular kind, and I think it does great things for my lashes. Like I said, I have decent length lashes, so it doesn't take much to make them look a little bit longer, but I think this does a really classy, nice job of adding just a little more. If you're looking for the falsies, going out on the town look, this is not the choice you should make. It's just a really nice every day mascara. I've noticed hardly any flaking at all, which is a huge plus for me. It has no odor (i can't believe how many mascaras have nasty scents), and it's a simple, no nonsense package and applicator. I haven't decided if I will repurchase, but I'm definitely feeling this product. -

I bought this first in Strawberry Shortcake but I wasn't too sure about the color. I then purchased Creme Brulee and Pink Truffle. Creme Brulee has become my favorite for every day, it is a sheer nude color and very smooth and moisturizing and "buttery" as the name implies. Pink truffle was a bit too dark for me as I have fair skin and it was darker than my natural lip color. I have started to wear Strawberry Shortcake now and it isn't too bright, just a nice soft pink for daytime. None of the colors I purchased have shimmer or glitter in them, but several of the other shades do which is why I only have three colors so far. I like that these lipsticks are so moisturizing and don't dry out your lips or make them flaky like most lipsticks do. The color are not too pigmented or intense they are just a sort of sheer but lightly buildable color (the shades I have purchased would not make an intense color if you layered them) and the texture sort of keeps them from being built up to an intense color level. They smell great, like vanilla or some kind of dessert which is nice. I recommend this lipstick for anyone looking for an everyday lip color that may be a bit shy of super-intense pigments on their lips, and anyone who likes a truly moisturizing lipstick that still offers some color. -

his foundation is my saviour. I have acne prone/combination bordering on to oily skin, I have been through dozens of foundations and this is the one that has only have truly worked for me. I work very long hours I'm up at 5:30 in morning and not home till 7/8 in the evening sometimes later and this foundation stays on all day! I receive many compliments from friends and family saying how terrific I look. I ended up going to an exercise class with this on and after an hour of sweating my friends mum and I quote said "everyone looks worn out but you look like you haven't sweated for a second! How do you always look so great?!" That just proves on how great this foundation is. I use the MAC 130 brush to put this foundation on, I don't glide it on I buff it into my skin and a little does really go a long way. This foundation is perfect and it's build-able so you can go for a light coverage to full on coverage. And the foundation lasts for a really long time I don't have to buy another bottle until 2-3 months later depending how often I have used it and re-applied throughout the days. This foundation is a must have for anyone! -

I ALWAYSSS have problem with acne and still dealing with it .. Its already 10 yearss that I suffer from it!! and I have realized that whenever I eat something like dairy product or food that contains high sugar, my blood sugar will raise,which cause breakout on my face,sometimes on my body... But what irritate me the most is that I get often breakout above my lip (area between nose and mouth)... I am so desperate and feel uncomfortable when I communicate with people,because they like to noticing the acne which is located above my lip (I hate that the most as u know)... I am prone to milia(whiteheads) on that area as well.. When I find this avene anti shine lotion, I try to put on the area which is prone to break out... anddd the resultttt is ' HAPPY' ... I dont get break out anymore, but of course I still trying to control my food( not eat so much dairy food that can cause me acne) .... I love this product,really! It help me really to control my skin from getting acne...If I notice redness or bump like it will become acne , I will apply this lotion onto it morning,afternoon and evening,,, and everyday scrub it with Garnier anti acne exfoliating scrub (but just one time per day,dont scrub too much, cause it can worsen your skin) and then at night apply the avene cleanance creme gel K exfoliating(this creme gel really dry up milia and acne, it works on me :D)... and the result ,the light tiny bump goes away after about 2 or 3 days.. It doens't get worse and get healed during that day :))) .. I feel really relieved that I can control this bastard acne with this method.. And for the miliia (whitehead) ,I have use the same method, in morning,afernoon and evening always apply this lotion anti shine to the milia ,and then scrub the milia one times per day, and at night apply avene cleanance K ... and the millia is really dried up ,in which you can pick it out, or it goes away .. that took for me about 4 or 5 days, if I am not mistaken.. I have removed about 5 milia above my lip by using this method... So to conclude, I love avene product, it help me really... -

I love my clarisonic mia 2!!! I've been battling with acne for 2 years & nothing has helped. I literally tried everything. My bathroom is full of acne cleansers that are just sitting there cause they never worked for me. A year ago, I came across a clarisonic & heard it helps clear up acne since it cleans your skin really deep down. I asked my mom to buy it for me but she didn't so I turned to a cheaper alternative & purchased the revlon spa pore & facial brush & it somewhat helped with my acne but it was still there. A year later, I buy my very own clarisonic & honestly, the revlon facial brush is nothing like my clarisonic. The clarisonic vibrates & the revlon facial brush rotates. As soon as I used the clarisonic, my acne was going away as well as my acne scars. Ever since, not one pimple has shown up on my face. I really recommend it to anyone with acne. I give it only 4 lippies because my first clarisonic I purchased didn't turn on so I had to return it, my second one lasted for only two weeks then started making a loud buzzing noise whenever I turned it on so I returned that, the third one I purchased was a light pink one which that's what it showed on the picture outside of the box but once I open the box, it was purple!! I'm hoping nothing goes wrong with the new one I just got like the other ones plus I got a free brush head with the new one I just purchased aswell!! Overall, my skin looks so good now & I'm so happy I don't have to deal with a bumpy face anymore -

This is absolutely an HG product for me and as long as they keep making this, I will keep on buying it.
I have acne-prone skin that only worsened when I hit my mid twenties. I would wake up routinely to new cysts on my chin and jawline and no product under the sun seemed to be working. I tried expensive cleansers, cheap cleansers, oil cleansing, not cleansing. My bathroom cabinet was full of various spot treatments, many of them barely used, lonely and collecting dust. I tried keeping my hair off my face, washing my pillows, praying to every known and unknown deity. Nada.
Finally, when I was about to resign myself to my fate of horrible adult acne, my dear friend recommended Spectro Jel. A bit hesitant at first that something seemingly so simple could be so effective, I bought a small bottle at SDM and though at first my expectations were very, very low, I was pleasantly surprised by my results. Within 2 weeks of morning and evening use, my skin was slowly beginning to clear up. The breakouts slowed and eventually stopped (barring the odd pimple here and there when Aunt Flo shows up), leaving me with beautiful and clean (but not stripped, which I have learned is very important!) skin.
This stuff works. The packaging not fancy or pretty. In fact it's pretty basic and utilitarian looking. But it's no-nonsense and the large pump bottle is very economical. Don't expect this to remove your make-up, because it won't. You will need to invest in a good make-up remover to do all the pre-work. I personally use Jojoba oil before the Spectro Jel and this regimen has served me well. The product itself is a non-foaming gel - slightly slimy and has a weird smell, but it feels so smooth and refreshing once you massage it into your skin. The instructions state that you can use this on dry or damp skin and I prefer to use it with damp skin as I find it glides easier, but others may feel differently. Also, I can't stress this enough, but follow the directions that tell you to massage the product for a full 30 seconds - it really does make a difference in lifting the dirt and grime from your face and leaving your skin clean. And it is just the right kind of clean - the skin feels fresh and dewy and yet not tight, or stripped. I have found that I need less moisturizer since this maintains my skin's natural moisture.
Overall, this is a great product, it has served me and my skin well and I can't recommend it enough to those suffering from similar issues. I have really found that simplifying my cleansing routine by using this simple product has massively improved my skin and ultimately the quality of my life.
