This was my first time trying Toms of Maine deodorant. I love that it is aluminum free, dermatologist tested, and not tested on animals. It has both odour and wetness protection too. The scent I got to try was Rose Vanilla, and it’s not the usual type of scent I would choose for a deodorant (sweet and floral). When I first smelled it from the tube, I wasn’t sure I was a fan of the scent. But actually once I applied it, it was quite nice. It was subtle and fresh, and stayed that way. I found the odour protection part to be true for me, but not the wetness protection. After about an hour, my armpit was not dry anymore. -

There are SO many great things about this sunscreen including that it is mineral sunscreen (goodbye chemicals), has broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, is water resistant, has a high SPF of 50 (I consider this high for a mineral sunscreen, and generally too), good for sensitive skin, and reef safe (the coral reef will thank you!!). What an incredible list. But what about the application? I have tried several other mineral sunscreens before and I know some can be super sticky and leave white streaks all over my skin. Well, I can say that @bluelizardsunscreen lives up to the awards that it has won. I don’t know how they did it, but they did. They created a superstar mineral sunscreen that rubs in easily, is not sticky, and does not leave any white streaks. It is fragrance free as well, so perfect for sensitive skin. And the consistency of the sunscreen as you can see in the 2nd photo is liquidy so it is easy to spread on the skin. I may have found a new favourite sunscreen 😍 ☀️ -

I got this 10ml rollball perfume free to try thanks to @thisisbutterly in exchange for my honest review. I rolled a bit of this water-based perfume onto my wrists, and it smelled SO good, I kept bringing my wrists to my nose to keep smelling it. The scent is just the right amount of fruity and floral, and does not smell artificial or chemical at all. Yet, it is still powerful as it surrounded my body with fragrance for a number of hours. I love the use of sustainable ingredients, that it is vegan, and water-based. Not to mention the packaging is beautiful! This 10ml size is great for travel and easily fits into a purse or fanny pack too. -

This baby lotion is great because it comes in a big size, and it is light enough to use daily. Since my son is prone to eczema, we put lotion on every night before bed. This Aveeno natural oat lotion is more on the watery side. The first few pumps from the bottle were not that appealing - they were watery clumps. But I think it could be because it was sitting out in the winter cold in my mailbox for a day or 2. After the first bit, the lotion became a better consistency - a light lotion that spread easily and absorbed quickly. We would certainly use this lotion daily on my son. -

I think the SPF of 30 is perfect for a daily sunscreen. I love that it is 100% mineral based sunscreen using zinc oxide, with no harmful chemicals. The tube is easy to squeeze and the sunscreen itself is a tinted colour (see 2nd photo). It was easy to apply and rub in, didn’t leave any streaks on my face, and felt like a matte finish once rubbed in (not oily at all). All in all, this is a great daily SPF sunscreen! -

I enjoy McDonalds coffee when I go to McDonalds, so was excited for the opportunity to try McDonalds coffee K-Cups in French Vanilla flavour. I like that it has no artificial flavours, and is a medium roast. The flavour is true to McDonalds coffee you’d get at the restaurant, and it’s so convenient to just pop the K-Cup in for a quick coffee fix.

Boy oh boy is my toddler son excited about his new toy! Thanks to @thisisbutterly and @spinmaster, we got to try out this Jungle Pups Marshall’s Deluxe Elephant Vehicle for free. The unboxing was super exciting for my son, as he could see the vehicle and wanted to get it out as quickly as possible to play with it. The firetruck was easy to take out, as it has those turn and release clips. The dog figurine was a bit harder - it was tied with string pretty tightly so I had to squeeze scissors into there a few times to get him out. The toy itself is interactive - it comes with 3 balls, and you can load them up in the dispenser. When you push the elephant truck back, it pops a ball into place. And then there’s a button at the side of the firetruck that you push down to launch the ball into the air. The ball flies pretty far when launched! My son wouldn’t stop playing with this toy ever since it arrived. He loves collecting the balls and putting them in the storage chute (pictured in one of the photos). All in all, a super fun toy! My only warning is - since the truck has “elephant tusks” at the front, I would recommend against letting the truck go down a slide and onto a foam play mat…my son slid it down a slide and the elephant tusks rammed into the play mat and punctured 2 holes 😬 Otherwise, another great toy from @spinmaster !

This is a sleek ceiling fan, being brushed nickel and with black blades. The aesthetic would go with most home designs. The brushed nickel is nice and shiny, and the blades are matte because they are made of a lightweight but sturdy material (not metal or wood). The instructions are a bit confusing, and it stresses a few times in the instruction booklet that you should get a licensed electrician to install it. It definitely is not easy installation for someone who has never worked with wires before. If you’re a handyperson, it would be a fun project. Otherwise, a licensed electrician is a better option. Thankfully I am in a household with a handyman, and we have been doing renovations. The installation wasn’t too bad save for some hiccups in understanding the instructions. Once the fan was up though, it was easy to use. I like that the product even comes with 2 AAA batteries for the remote control! Seems well thought out, as you don’t need to run out to buy some if you don’t have any. The led light produces good lighting, and it is great that it is dimmable and you can change colours. The downside is that it is a plate of lights so in the future when it burns out, it’s not as easy as switching out a standard light bulb. Also the light seems to reset each time you turn it off, it’d be ideal if you can choose one and save the setting. I like the remote control, because it lets me switch the settings from sitting. The fan is strong and not too noisy, no complaints there. In terms of size, it’s good for a medium sized bedroom or living room.

I got to try this product free from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. I am constantly doing renovations in my household, so all types of sealant are useful for us. I got the sealant to try, and inserted it into the caulk gun that we already owned. The crystal clear sealant was easy to apply and am glad that it works in wet and cold surfaces because it is currently winter time. It applied as expected and took 30 minutes to cure. I like that it is transparent.

These Hero might patches are mighty indeed. It comes with 3 sheets inside, each with 12 large pimple patches, totalling 36. The size is good to cover any size pimple. I tried it overnight and it stayed on all night, and by morning my pimple had been emptied of the white pus. Felt so much better the next morning! It didn’t hurt when peeling off so that was a plus.
