I’ve been using Halifax Honey Co. Stingin’ Hot Honey for a few weeks now, mostly as a finishing drizzle on pizza, fried chicken, roasted veggies, and even breakfast sandwiches. The blend of pure honey infused with pickled chilies gives it the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. The flavor starts off rich and smooth, then slowly builds into a pleasant spicy kick that lingers without being overwhelming.
The texture is thick, silky, and easy to drizzle straight from the bottle without making a sticky mess. It has the classic floral honey aroma with a subtle tangy, peppery note from the chilies.
What surprised me most was how versatile it is, I originally bought it for pizza, but it ended up working on everything from charcuterie boards to grilled meats. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while even with regular use. The heat level is noticeable but approachable, making it suitable for people who enjoy a mild-to-medium spice level.
The only downside is that if you’re expecting an intense, fiery burn, you may find it a bit tame. Also, because it’s real honey, it can become slightly thicker in cooler temperatures. Overall, it performs exactly as intended: adding a sweet, spicy boost to everyday foods while elevating simple meals with very little effort. This has easily become one of those pantry staples I keep reaching for again and again. 🍯🌶️

The only downside is that they melt quickly and can feel a bit too sweet after a few pieces. I’ve been using the L’Occitane Amande Sublime Supple Skin Oil for about a few weeks now, mostly right after my evening shower, and it quickly became one of those products that makes my routine feel a little more luxurious. The first thing I noticed was the scent, it has that warm, sweet almond fragrance L’Occitane is known for, but it smells softer and cleaner than a lot of body oils I’ve tried. The scent lingers lightly on the skin for a few hours without clashing with perfume.
The texture surprised me in the best way. Even though it’s an oil, it feels lightweight and silky instead of greasy. It absorbs pretty quickly, especially on damp skin, and leaves this smooth glow that makes my skin look healthier almost instantly. I’ve been using it mainly on my legs, arms, and shoulders, and it definitely helped with dryness and rough patches. My skin feels softer the next morning, not just temporarily coated like some oils do.
One of the standout ingredients is almond oil, which helps nourish and soften the skin while improving elasticity. Compared to thicker body oils or body butters, this feels more elegant and breathable. It gives hydration without that sticky feeling that can make you avoid getting dressed afterward. I have been using PanOxyl Acne Wash (4% Benzoyl Peroxide) for a few weeks now, and it’s one of those products that feels both straightforward and surprisingly effective. At first glance, it looks like a standard acne wash, but it definitely stands out in performance compared to gentler drugstore cleansers.
The texture is a creamy gel that lathers lightly, not overly foamy, but enough to feel like it’s really cleansing. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance, more of a clean, almost clinical smell, which I appreciated since heavy scents can be irritating. On the skin, it feels cooling and thorough, but not overly harsh the way some higher-strength benzoyl peroxide products can be.
In terms of results, I started noticing fewer new breakouts after about a week of consistent use. What surprised me most was how it managed to keep acne under control without leaving my face overly dry or tight. Compared to harsher acne washes I’ve tried in the past (like 10% benzoyl peroxide formulas), this 4% version feels more balanced, still powerful enough to target pimples, but gentle enough for everyday use.
One thing to keep in mind is that it can bleach fabrics if you’re not careful, which isn’t obvious until you use it (so definitely rinse thoroughly and watch your towels). I also found it works well for both face and body acne, especially on areas like the shoulders and back.
Overall, I’d say this is a reliable, no-nonsense treatment wash. It’s not instant magic, but with steady use, it really helps keep skin clearer and calmer without being too harsh.

I’ve been using the Neostrata Enlighten 15% Vitamin C + PHA Serum for a little over two weeks now, and I have to say—it’s one of those products that really surprised me. At first glance, it looks like just another Vitamin C serum, but once I actually started incorporating it into my routine, I noticed how different it feels compared to others I’ve tried.
The texture is lightweight, watery, it has that perfect serum consistency that spreads easily and absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky film (something I’ve experienced with a lot of Vitamin C serums). Once it sinks in, it leaves a soft, hydrated feel, almost like a primer for the rest of my skincare.
As for the scent, there’s a faint, almost clinical citrusy note, but nothing overpowering or artificial. I appreciate that, because I’m not a fan of serums that smell like orange candy—it feels more elegant and sophisticated.
Performance-wise, I was genuinely impressed. Within the first week, I noticed my skin looking a little brighter and more even, but the real difference showed around the two-week mark. My skin tone started to look smoother and more radiant, and those little dull patches I usually fight around my cheeks were noticeably less visible. The inclusion of PHA is clever, it gives you that gentle exfoliation without irritation, so it feels like a two-in-one brightening + smoothing product.
Compared to other Vitamin C serums I’ve tried (like L’Oréal & Paula’s Choice), Neostrata’s formula feels a bit gentler and less irritating, especially considering it’s 15%. It doesn’t sting upon application, which is huge for me because my skin can be reactive. But despite being gentle, it still delivers visible results, which I didn’t fully expect at first.
One thing I did notice is that it works best if you’re consistent. Skipping a few days dulls the effect, so it’s definitely a serum that rewards routine use. As for longevity, a little goes a long way, I only need 2–3 drops for my whole face, so even though the bottle is 15 mL, it lasts longer than I thought.
What I disliked? Honestly, the size threw me off at first. Fifteen milliliters feels small compared to the standard 30 mL most serums come in, so it might feel pricey if you’re someone who uses Vitamin C daily. Also, if you prefer an immediate “wow” effect, this isn’t that—it builds gradually but steadily.
What surprised me was how well it layers with other products. Some Vitamin C serums pill under moisturizer or sunscreen, but this one plays nicely with everything I’ve tried. It’s also not greasy, so I can use it in the morning without worrying about it affecting makeup wear.
All in all, I’d describe it as a smart, balanced Vitamin C serum—powerful enough to brighten and smooth, but gentle enough to keep in your daily routine without irritation. If you’re sensitive but still want the benefits of Vitamin C, this feels like one of the safest bets out there.
