I’ve tried so many sunscreens over the years, and Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen Sensitive SPF 50 is truly one of the best for anyone with delicate or reactive skin. The formula is gentle, fragrance-free, and doesn't sting or irritate—even on my face, which is usually a trouble spot with other brands.
What I love most is that it’s mineral-based, using zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so I know I’m getting broad-spectrum protection without harsh chemicals. It’s also water-resistant (up to 80 minutes), so it's perfect for outdoor days or beach trips.
It goes on a little white at first, like most mineral sunscreens, but absorbs nicely with minimal effort and doesn’t leave a heavy residue or greasy feel. Plus, the smart bottle turns blue in harmful UV light—such a clever reminder to reapply!
If you have sensitive or easily irritated skin, this sunscreen is a solid choice. I always keep one in my bag now.

As a mom of active little ones, finding a sunscreen that is effective, easy to apply, and gentle on their skin is always a top priority. I've been using the BLUE LIZARD KIDS SPRAY SPF 50 for the past few months, and it has quickly become our go-to for all our outdoor adventures!
What I Love:
Super Easy Application: The spray format is a game-changer! It makes getting sunscreen on wriggly kids so much faster and less of a struggle. It provides good, even coverage, and I can quickly reapply when needed.
Powerful Protection: With SPF 50, I feel confident that my kids are well-protected from harmful UVA/UVB rays. We've spent numerous days at the park, in the backyard, and even on a few splash pad excursions, and (knock on wood!) no sunburns in sight!
Gentle on Sensitive Skin: My youngest has somewhat sensitive skin, and we haven't had any issues with irritation or rashes with this Blue Lizard spray. It seems to be quite gentle, which is a huge plus.
Water Resistant: It holds up well to sweat and water play, which is essential for active kids. Of course, reapplication after toweling off is key, but it definitely gives good protection during water activities.
Peace of Mind: Knowing I'm using a sunscreen specifically designed for kids from a brand I trust gives me great peace of mind.
Minor Point:
Like with most spray sunscreens, I make sure to apply it outdoors or in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling too much of the mist. I also usually give it a quick rub-in after spraying just to ensure even coverage, especially on windy days.
Overall:
I highly recommend the BLUE LIZARD KIDS SPRAY SPF 50 to any parent looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and effective sunscreen for their children. It's made our sunny day outings much more enjoyable and worry-free. Two thumbs up from this happy mom!
