I recently went to a REVLON warehouse sale, where I picked up Almay Smart Shade foundation. I decided to try it since I could get it at a fraction of the price.
I always have difficulty finding the right shade of foundation, but was skeptical that this would match my skin tone. Boy was I wrong! Its a perfect match, and doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup!
I would definitely recommend this product! - and won't hesitate to pay full price for it when my warehouse sale find is empty!

I recently finished reading "Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs for my book club.
This soon-to-be-a-Julia Roberts-movie was a very light, interesting read.
I hesitated at first, due to the title (it gave me visions of rocking chairs and itchy sweaters) , but as you "can't judge a book by its cover" - I dove in - and was pleasantly surprised! Instead of needle-talk the book focused on real life issues, and has a pleasant blend of caracters, who meet each Friday, like any other group of women might - though I sometimes felt that some caracters were unnessary to the story, together their stores blended well for a good read - some may say like a knitted blanket!

We tried Petit Bills' Bistro in Westboro for a friend's birthday celebration.
The bistro has won a VQA 2009 award of excellence - what a great selection of wines!
Appetizers were the perfect size - friends had the lobster poutine (yum!) while I had the melt in your mouth delicious crab cakes.
My entree was prosciutto wrapped salmon, which was cooked to perfection, with delicious steamed vegetables! The rice was a little flavourless - but the rest made up for it!
I was very satisfied after finishing my main course, but could not pass up dessert - peanut butter banana creme brulee - it was worth it!!
The service was also excellent, she tended to our every need and even the owner stopped by to see how everything was! They definitely go the extra mile!!
Overall - I would definitely recommend this bistro - I'll be returning for sure!
