I was recently given the opportunity to try DAP Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulk plus silicone for free and I was keen to see how it performed. The claims on the pack are impressive in terms of versatility of the product and only time will tell if it can live up to expectations but I found it to be smooth and relatively easy to apply with minimal bubbling/patchiness. It is a little stickier than I’d like but definitely more lightweight than similar products I’ve used.

Great little patches that subtly soothe and relieve bug bite irritation and prevent rubbing and skin damage. After a while I forgot I was using it and noticed later that it had drawn out some of the moisture and reduced swelling of the bite considerably. Discreet enough to be used pretty much anywhere on the body and gentle enough for even the most sensitive of family members. So glad to have been given an opportunity to try them out for free and they will be getting added to my outdoors summer survival kit! Thank you Crown Labs and Butterly! -

I’m not sure I would describe this as a gel, but more of a lightweight, soothing cream which helps hydrate the skin on a deeper level than a normal cream. It doesn’t leave an oily film and soaks in quickly. On its own I feel the soothing effect doesn’t last long enough on the surface skin, especially with frequent hand washing, but it does seem to be making a difference to the new skin forming underneath. I will be continuing to use it, but this time in conjunction with Aveeno Eczema Care Daily Moisturising Cream to get the best of both worlds. -

I was pleasantly surprised by this offering from Aveeno - usually when products claim to be lightweight and not oily they are either lying or ineffective. Aveeno Eczema Care Daily Moisturising Cream succeeds in being so lightweight and easily absorbed that I can carry on with my day immediately, yet leaves a light protective film that truly feels more like natural skin oils than added oils. It allows my skin to be more flexible and crack less with minimal effort from me. -
