I received Crest 3D White Whitestrips 2-hour Express through the product review club and I was quite excited to try them. After thousands of dollars & several years spent on braces, I try to work my smile for all its got. I like the fact that you don't have to wear these as often, but I wasn't impressed with the 2 hours. The normal 30 min you have to wear the regular whitestrips has always seemed like an eternity. But these were a bit more comfortable to wear than many other systems.
After drooling for about 2 hours I took the strips off to find that they didn't make that much more of a difference than the regular whitestrips do with one application. I definitely notice a difference between before and after, but it's not big enough that it would make 2 hours of sitting with the strips on again worth it. I think I'll stick to the regular (3D Whitestrips Professional Effects is the brand I've used in the past). Also, I found that after wearing them for 2 whole hours, I experienced quite a bit more sensitivity than I ever have with whitestrips. It only lasted about half a day, maybe a full day, though. Even still, I think I'll continue using the regular 30 min treatments to achieve about the same results.

This is the FIRST white, solid deodorant/antiperspirant I've ever tried that doesn't leave big white marks on my black shirts. All the other "invisible" products didn't live up to their promises and always left big white streaks on the sides of my shirts or big white smears on the sides of my tank tops. So when I saw Nivea's new invisible antiperspirant on the shelves I was definitely skeptical, but I gave it a shot. I cannot believe how invisible this product actually is. I haven't tried it with white clothes yet, but I can vouch for its effectiveness on black! Love love LOVE this product. -

I was sent a pack of Cottonelle Ultra through the product review club and let me just say... I'm hooked!
What was your overall experience with this product (effectiveness, quality, etc)?
I'm totally making the switch! I didn't think I'd be partial to any particular brand of toilet paper, but this stuff has spoiled me! Totally durable, but still soft and plush. And I agree with a previous reviewer - way less dust. Which is great because the bathroom is already a dust magnet without all the toilet paper particles floating around in the air. I keep my extra rolls of toilet paper in a clear glass vase by the toilet and it helps keep that dust free too.
Based on this testing opportunity, would you consider making Cottonelle Ultra your usual brand of bathroom tissue?
Already have. Definitely made the switch and picked up another pack of Cottonelle Ultra last night! Regular price was in line with other competing brands, plus it was on sale.
Would you buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend?
DEFINITELY!

How was your overall experience with using this product (gray coverage, ease of use, colour matching, length of time needed, how your hair looks/feels after application, etc.)? Colour matching for this product was phenomenal. I couldn't believe the seamless blend between the previous dye job and my roots after using it. However, I did notice that the greys weren't as covered as completely as I have experienced with other brands. So even though the transition from old dye to new root coverage was seamless, my greys were still quite visible. They're not grey anymore, more of a light reddy brown (instead of dark brown like the rest of my hair). How does this product compare to other home hair colours (including root-targeted products) you've used in the past (if applicable)? I liked the built in brush tool a lot. Other root coverage products I've used in the past were quite difficult to use on my own - using a brush and a little container full of the dye. I usually end up glopping dye on my countertop or shoulder or somewhere else that it's not supposed to be. Having everything together in one neat package made it much easier to manage on my own. The plastic that the brush part could be a bit softer though. Colour matching with this product is far better than any other I've used in the past, but the grey coverage wasn't perfect (better than some that I've used, but not as good as others). Would you buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend? I would probably buy this product again with a coupon, but I don't know if I'd buy it full price. I'd probably mention it to a friend because of the design of the tool rather than the effectiveness of the dye. -

I was so excited to receive Garnier Herbashine in Dark Brown through the Product Review Club! I just turned 26 and I have a few grey hairs here and there (they seem to multiply overnight!) After trying a few different types of dye, I've come to appreciate a great semi-permanent. I love that this product is ammonia free because on top of having a few grey hairs I also have fine, curly (read: damaged) hair, so I do love a gentle product that can get the job done.
The process was pretty straight forward and similar to other dyes. Love that you only need to leave it in for 10 minutes to get results though! On-the-go busy girls definitely appreciate that extra 10min to get other things done! The coverage was great too - I have just above shoulder length hair and I probably could have gotten two uses out of the amount in a box, but for the purpose of this review I used the whole thing in one go. Really easy to apply too. My only complaint about the product supplied would have to be the size of the conditioner package. Instead of a nice tube that gives you numerous uses, there was only a small sample-sized foil pouch of conditioner - just enough for the initial use. Although this product is gentler than most dyes, I had hoped for a great conditioner to accompany my new colour for at least a week of showers (instead of resorting to my usual bottle).
But the colour turned out great, very similar to the colour on the box! Love how silky and healthy my hair felt afterward too. And so far, the colour has lasted marvelously - a gradual fade as to avoid harsh root lines, but the colour hasn't changed drastically (I've used other semi-permanent dark browns that turn brassy as they fade). Overall, definitely will buy again!

I received Garnier Nutrisse in Dark Chocolate through the Product Review Club and it was actually my first time using this brand of hair dye. I've stuck to Clairol brands in the past, so I was curious to see how this one measured up. Right away I appreciated the cream formula - leaving me able to sit on the computer, do laundry, and tidy up while I was waiting for the colour to do its thing. No worries about drips!
The first time I used the product (without the help of the Colour Shield Shampoo, Conditioner, and Instant Colour Sealer), I was actually quite pleased with the grey coverage. I have the starts of a grey streak at my right temple, so it's definitely something I look for now in hair dye. My hair also has a lot of red undertones in it that really shine through as dye fades, which were definitely noticeable with this dye but still totally comparable to the fading time of other brands of hair dye. Even without the colour protecting products (see below for a snippet about those, or my other reviews for the Colour Shield Shampoo, Conditioner, and Instant Colour Sealer) I'd totally buy this hair dye again. I found it fairly nourishing for my hair and great colour coverage for a drugstore brand. Very happy and will definitely recommend to friends!
I've always seen the colour protection products on the shelves and never took any of them seriously. In my mind, if a shampoo or conditioner was moisturizing it'd probably do the exact same thing. I've tried one or two in the past, but never noticed any difference. HOWEVER, the second time around dying my hair, I used the Colour Shield line every day... And I'm now a firm believer! Two weeks after dying my hair, it's as dark and chocolaty as ever! Normally by now I have some major red (and greys) poking through, but I am still getting comments about how great and rich my hair colour is. People think I dyed it just yesterday!

I've always seen the colour protection products on the shelves and never took any of them seriously. In my mind, if a product was moisturizing it'd probably do the exact same thing. I've tried one or two colour-safe shampoos in the past, but never noticed any difference.
The scent of this shampoo and conditioner is also really yummy! I'm not a big fan of the super perfumy smelling products - I find they often give me a headache. But this is fruity, light, and won't overpower my other products, just perfect for shampoo! It also left my hair feeling very moisturized, but didn't weigh it down (I have very fine, curly hair). The conditioner is remarkably thicker than any conditioner I've ever used - I'd call it a cream conditioner. It felt as luxurious as the third step conditioner that comes with the Garnier Nutrisse hair colour (and many other brands of hair dye). I found a little bit went a long way, which is great for penny pinchers like me!
Highly recommended!

I also love this product just for its styling uses! I have naturally curly hair, which is definitely prone to frizz. But because my hair is so fine, many antifrizz products just weigh it down. I found the Instant Colour Sealer helped tame frizz while leaving my hair feeling soft and bouncy. I'm hooked! I'd definitely recommend these products to friends, in fact - I already have!

I got the chance to try Falsies through the Product Review club and I thought I'd copy and paste the questions from the email so I don't miss anything:
1. How did you like this product on its own merits? (eg. ease of use, wear, etc)
Out of all the bristle brushes I've ever used, this was my favourite. It's flat on two sides, which gives you options when applying. However, I found the consistency of the mascara to be a bit watery. It's like it wasn't strong enough to hold my eyelashes in place. Even after some major curling with an eyelash curler, the weight of the formula paired with its wateriness just weighed down my lashes and made them nearly invisible. I have very short, straight lashes by nature and I've always had a hard time finding a mascara that gave them a wow factor, and this definitely isn't one of them. I think that with time as the mascara dries out a bit it might be more effective. Also, I've always found the waterproof versions to be better for holding curl as they're usually a little thicker and tackier in consistency. Maybe I'll look for the waterproof Falsies next time I'm out.
2. How does this mascara compare to wearing false eyelashes?
I love the look of false lashes, but I've never been able to apply them properly so by default my vote falls with the mascara.
3. How does this mascara compare to your usual volumizing mascara?
I found that I was thoroughly unimpressed with how short and stubby they ended up looking. I've been using Cover Girl's Lash Blast for about a year now, and this didn't even come close. After using the plastic brush that comes with Cover Girl's mascaras, I find it very hard to go back to a bristle brush, even if it is the best one I've come across. Also, the consistency of this mascara didn't work with my fine lashes. It was too watery and heavy to plump them up.
4. Would you buy this product again and/or recommend it to a friend?
No, I don't think so.

For my review I tried Mocha Fudge Brownie, and it was AMAZING. On it's own, so delicious, but even up against its full-fat competition! I'm blown away by how smooth it is! I have already told several friends about it.
Unfortunately, its price point holds me back a bit. The local grocery store I bought it from had it on sale for $8 a tub, which is a little high for me. If I spend more than $6 on ice cream, it has to be a pretty hard-to-find flavour. But these flavours have dupes in the $5 price point (full-fat or not).
Overall, this is definitely something I'll watch for and buy when it's on sale. Otherwise, I'll stick to a smaller portion of a full-fat but less expensive ice cream.
