Hi, I uploaded photos of my little red bull Beauregard! The one towards the bottom is him at 1 month old. The others are at 7-9 months old. Take care-Ginger.

Hi my friend! I'm so glad you liked the little piggies. I sure do miss them!! Yes, I would love to see the photos of anything you want to post-I didn't know you had a swamp in your back yard. Yes, please take photos of the turtles too. Beauregard would follow me every where and if I didn't pay attention to him, he would head butt me in the backside!! I had trained him when he was so small, that if I held out my arm with my palm upwards, he knew I meant for him to come to me. I started training him when he was a little baby with a big leash on him, that I had specially made and I attached a rope to it. He and I went on many long walks together with him trailing behind me on his leash. he thought he was a big baby. My husband only got around him a few times. For some reason if Beauregard saw my hubby around me, he would start running and chase him out the gate!! It was so funny. He was a jealous little red baby bull. I'm so thankful I got the experience to care for him and raise him. I miss him, I cried like a baby when the new owner came to get him. But, I knew it was best for my big red bull to be around other cows and reproduce! He still had his umbilical cord partly attached when I got him. I will upload those soon too and a photo of his huge bottle. I have that packed away in my late GrandMother's cedar chest I inherited. I'm so glad I found an avid animal lover, like myself. There is so much beauty to see all around, if people would just take time out and enjoy it, like we do!! I think I put some photos of my Grandsons and 2 adult children on there. The blurry 1, is of me and hubby on our wedding day on February 29th 1996. He wanted to get married on leap year day!! We were married in our honeymoon cabin in front of the roaring fireplace in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. I will upload photos of the view from atop there, simply breathtaking. It started snowing and we had a hot tub outside, so I got in it with snow falling all around me and I wasn't cold. It was so magical. Sorry, I could talk both your ears off. I love to write and sometimes get carried away. Looking forward to seeing your photos and let me know what your Dad says about Beauregard. I will go look for the photos now. Take care my lakeside friend-Ginger.

Hi, I uploaded some of the photos of my wild hogs for you to see on my gallery. Just click on the image and it will enlarge. I've even raised a little red bull from when he was 2 days old. You should see the bottle I had to use. I named him Beauregard. He kept breaking the fence down and going in another persons pasture with all his cows. I think he was lonely. I eventually had to give him away to an older farmer because he got so big he was pushing me down, trying to play. He was like a dog, always bouncing around and nudging at me. He knew I always kept him a treat in my pocket and he would always sniff til he found it. It broke my heart to have to give him away, but he was lonesome for female company. Plus, he was so huge, that when he would be playing with me, he would literally knock me to the ground. There were a few times, he almost stepped on me. That was such a unique experience to raise a 2 day old red baby bull. I will upload photos of him one day. He is huge now and has helped to produce so many babies. He is happy at his new home, with all his friends! But, I still miss him so much!! I hope you have a great Monday. Take care-Ginger.

Hi there my lakeside friend! I was so happy to hear from you today. To feed the hummingbirds, they sell a pre-mixed pouch of granulated feed. All you do is mix in the correct amount of warm water and fill a hummingbird feeder with it. It will take a while for them to come to it. They are very territorial little things! I find the food at the Dollar stores or Walmart. You can buy it in liquid form too, but it costs more and you don't get very much. They are drawn to vivid colors. I sometimes make my own. I boil 2-3 cups of water and 1-2 cups of regular sugar til it's boiling good and then add enough red food coloring to make it a lovely red color. Make sure to boil the water and sugar together because if you don't, it will kill them. They will drink it dry in no time. The pre-made food pouches are better. They usually are $1.50 at Walmart in the Garden section and make 32 ozs. I will post photos of my late wild hogs when I can get my cellphone photos working. I will let my daughter look at it and try to fix it. Have a great day and Happy Spring to you!! Ginger

Thank you for your kind comments! They mean so much to me! I bet the swans, ducks and geese are so pretty. You are very fortunate to experience that. In our part of the South, we have lots of deer, rabbits, owls, frogs and even wild hogs!! Last year I had 5 wild hogs coming to my front yard and I started feeding them and they would squeal, letting me know they were out there. I even named them. They got use to me and I could pet the little boogers and hand feed them. They would run from my husband and every one else. I took photos of them. I will try and post on my gallery in a few days. I will let you know when I do. The neighbor took notice of my fat pets and shot them. I had a few choice words with him and I was depressed for a while. The deer are use to me, I throw out corn and other foods for them, in our pasture. They come up to the back of the house, near my Grandsons play ground I had built. I can stand on the back porch and watch them. They are no more than 25 feet from me. I love the humming birds too! I put up all kinds of feeders for them. I can sit on our front porch and they fly around my face. I can feel the light flutters of their tiny wings against my face. It is so amazing to see and experience all nature has to offer. Take some photos some time, if you can, I would love to see them. I do envy your surroundings! Thanks again for the nice compliments and please take care!! Have yourself a wonderful day-Ginger.

Thanks so much for your nice words. I get so many questions about my name-Ginger Rogers! I bet Nova Scotia is gorgeous, judging from that photo. I'm having an okay weekend, we didn't get to see our grandsons though. They and our daughter have been battling strep throat this week and are on meds. I sure do miss them. I am use to seeing them all the time. I hope you had a good weekend. You can chat with me anytime-always here. Ginger
