There is nothing about dry eyes that is fun or enjoyable.
Redness, itchiness, discomfort, burning, soreness, tiredness, stinging or dryness that makes you want to pour water into your eyes is just blech. My eyes are dry at homes, and get worse in environments I can't control, like stores and the office. I always need drops, but they don't all work and many don't last. I don't want drops that just make my eyes look brighter, I need real solutions that work quickly and last a long time.
Rohto® DRY AID Intensive Dry Eye Relief Lubricating Eye Drops help make the 8 symptoms of dry eyes disappear quickly. They have Tearshield Technology, designed to mimic natural tears. The drops use unique ingredients like to lubricate, hydrate, restore and protect like the natural tear film does. You can say that it helps to stabilize and boost what we already have.
I find the bottle easy to use. The formula feels a bit punchy when it first hits my dry, irritated eye, but as it spreads it starts to feel very soothing and within a couple of blinks I can feel it work. I don't feel the need to reapply more then once a day, which is amazing for me, and fits with their expected duration of up to 12 hours.
I like that the levels in the bottle are easy to see, so I know when I need to repurchase, unlike the opaque bottles which have left me high and dry (pun intended) when I most needed eye drops.

I'm always on the hunt for a good multitasking product, and the Daily Repair Moisturizer from @bellaauraskin is a new great find!
A 6-in-1 lightweight moisturizer, it also targets dullness, dehydration, uneven skin tone, dark spots and fatigue with a formula focused on Swiss bio-actives. These ingredients are more effective then some of their more commonly used alternatives.
Featured ingredients include: Hydroxytyrosol (derived from Olive Leaf Extract), Daisy Flower Extract, Vitamin E, Black Oats, Lecithin, and Vitamin E.
The texture is very fluid and light, with a dewy yet non-greasy finish. There is a light herbal, ingredient-based scent.
My skin feels moisturized, with a pretty glow. I think this would be ideal for day for most months when my skin needs hydration, moisture and nourishment without weight. Receiving it in extreme winter weather, I do need to reapply often or layer over it with my dry skin. Someone with normal to oily skin may not have the same experience.
The bottle is elegant and artful, and the pump works beautifully. It belongs front and centre on the vanity.

The superlatives pile on top of each other when describing this cream: lush, luxurious, indulgent, rich, sensual, comforting - the list goes on. It's an ultra rich balm-like cream that melts into your skin to relieve and protect against dryness, ease the discomfort it causes, and strengthen the skin barrier.
Nourishing, soothing and deeply moisturizing, the Karité Confort is formulated with 25% Shea Butter to make every application feel like a visit to the spa. I have dry to very dry skin and it adores this cream.
It has a scent that reinforces the indulgence, with notes of mimosa, musk & sandalwood. Yet I still get some of the almond like in the almond line too. I really love using a dollop before bed, to sooth me into sleep.
The cream is also refillable! You can get new inserts at the brand's website, and I hope to see them come to Sephora soon as well.

I live trying mocktails. Gin and tonic are among my favorite as they always have layers of flavors and hidden depths. I love herbal notes, especially mixed with fresh ones like citrus or berries. I had high hopes for this one as I had yet to try a pink mocktail that was berry forward. While it was very raspberry forward, I found it quite sweet, and that overpowered the herbal notes for me. It still tasted good, but not as much as I had hoped for. It went well with fresh fruit and savory popcorn in our games night, as well as fresh vegetable dishes like Caprese skewers.

My experience with sparkling rosé wines, with or without alcohol, is that they are usually light and often not very dimensional. They are nice with light dishes or dessert.
Not this one. It has the traditional berry notes, but deeper, these are full flavor berries, very deep on the edge of turning, and there is a minerality and strength to the wine that for all the bubbles lets it hold up to bolder food and stronger pairings as well as fresh fruit and salads. Goat cheese on toast, roasted chicken with herbs and sautéed veggies don't faze this wine. They're all friends and bring out each other's flavour.

I loved the Giesen Riesling so much i pretty much hugged it at our games and movie night, only letting my friends have a taste. Good thing it was alcohol-free, low calorie and low sugar! I love that it was crisp, fresh, had citrus and what I felt were more Elderberry type of notes (I don't have a super palate, but it felt like they were there, a hint of that berry note). It went with everything I tried. All nibbles from the charcuterie board, pieces of sushi, and even bold and spicy chutney. Some flavors were complemented while other felt more enhanced by being bounced off the wine, but it was just all so good. This willmake a re-appearance at future gatherings!

I started using it when my skin on both my face and body started acting up, and it became part of my targeted facial care routine as well as part of my regular body care routine ever since. I find the wash very gentle yet effective, and appreciate a non-foaming product that rinses cleanly and is easy on my dry skin when I still need something to unclog and clean my pores.

L'Occitane Amande Hair and Body Delightful Mist is the lightweight, non-sticky option for those of us who want to complement our body care routine with a scent that smells like a dessert without cloying the room. It's delicate, but has sillage and some projection. As a person who adores fragrance but cannot wear them directly on her skin, I find that I can give a couple good sprays above my hair or above my shoulders and the results smell great without causing me any issues, either directly after application or throughout the day. It's a great balance.
The scent reminds me of sitting down with a fresh almond croissant and a cup of tea, bringing back memories of early mornings in Montreal before the start of university or work. It's delicious, comforting and uplifting all at once.
The mist is a perfect complement to the L'Occitane Amande body care routine. It also layers very well with any gourmand based body lotion or cream, especially vanilla or rum-scented.

At the end of a long day and longer week, I am thankful for skincare that helps my skin look and feel boosted, and that refreshes my spirit.
A micropeptide complex and other great ingredients work to target signs of aging and discoloration, as well as boost sagging skin.
Hydrating and moisturizing ingredients give the cream a lush feel that absorbs quickly and leaves a velvety finish. Skin looks and feels replenished and fresher. It's not quite moisturizing enough to be used alone for my dry skin, but is great to layer as we head into fall. For less dry skin, I think it would be great as a standalone moisturizer.
Scent-free, the cream also comes with a handy pump, making it practical and hygienic to use.
Overall, I love reaching for this cream!

It doesn't have to be a special occasion, or an elaborate set up. A candle can be wonderful with reading a book and a cup of tea, on the table of a romantic dinner, to bring notes of joy to a party, to bring back happy memories to a pizza and game night, and to bring just the right amount of light and comfort when cuddling to watch movies.
The Balsam + Cedar Essential Oils candle from Yankee Candle was a wonderful way to have an early father's day afternoon with my dad, bringing back memories of summer camping trips growing up. It set the tone for some great stories and laughs, mostly at my expense lol!
The candle is in a beautiful deep green glass jar, that fits perfectly with my mantle decor, and would look as good on a table top.
It is a bit heady, and it fills up a nice size room easily, so unless I am in the mood to reminisce, I would save it for cooler times.
